I think Mplayer plays retail DVDs if you install DVDx. Not too sure about that though. I haven't tried it myself.

Mplayer can ONLY play retail DVDs last time I checked. (music and stuff also but im talking more about dvds)

ya, get a dvd player.

i think if you set the booktype to DVD-ROM it will work just fine with a burned movie.
