Atleast that proves that the filename does not have to be specfific, as it is diplayed in the second screen.

now the only thing that remains is the encoding type and the folder.

Woah, where did you get that?

I don't know if it is the same, as I said before, I can't insert the ROM and see the icon because the 3DS just freezes.

Doesnt it just come with 3ds's by default ?? 3d movie player

I've never seen that app before; only the Nintendo Video version, but still my 3DS wasn't from the first generation, it is a red flame 3DS for the Americas, so this could be the reason perhaps?

how do u know if its first generation, and how is that related with loading movie player?

Came with a 3DS XL 4.4 FW here, NZ/AUS. I remember using an app to download from youtube and create vids, side by side up and down or 2d, I then deleted it from home menu as i thought it was lame lol

Mine didn't have this app either. It's 3DS ice white, probably from Mario 3D Land bundle because it had Can not be sold seperately sticker on it.

IIRC that app was on a certain 1.x firmware and got automatically removed later. It only played a certain hardcoded video though, much like the E3 trailer apps that were available at some point.

Well, if someone of us can get it working, it would be an amazing app to look forward to till homebrew scene happens...:)

I loaded this application on my emuNAND, but it left some data on my SD card that can be seen via official firmware, just in case anybody needs to know. I don't know if Nintendo can see that kind of stuff when you visit any of their online functions (eShop, Miiverse). I delete it from my SD card. Look in Data Management->3DS->? (can't remember if it was in Software or Extra Data).

No, it wasn't the rom.

I had two of this trash data, but that was before I used the Movie Player rom on my 3DS. I think those were generated after I recovered my 3DS data from a corrupted SD card; some of the recover data could have been damaged.

This is the actual data generated by this game:

And now that I see it better, the icon is different from the game of the above, so I assume they are completely different applications.

I could be mistaken, but it sure looked like it. I thought that what I deleted had a black movie player icon. Maybe I was confused by that picture of the cart that somebody posted, and associated that with what I saw on my screen. Oh well, I deleted it anyways so I'll never know exactly for sure.
