Hacking movable.sed

Im trying to transfer my games from o3ds to new 3ds without reinstalling cias.I already have the tickets backedup and I am about to inject my emunand however someone told me to reinject moveable.sed from my o3ds,do I really need to do this?I am going to inject tickets.db from my o3ds emuand to my new3ds emuand.

Movable.sed allows you to use the content on your SD card of your old 3ds, on the new 3ds. Without it, the actual SD card content from your old 3ds will not work on your new 3ds. According to 3dbrew, movable.sed is moved to the destination 3ds during a system transfer https://3dbrew.org/wiki/Nand/private/movable.sed

so if i use rxtools to install movable.sed and ticket.db using rxtools on my n3ds emunand I should be good to go?(I am in the proccess of transferring the 50gb title folder over)

I re-read the 3dbrew article, you may need to dump the movable.used from both 3ds's and hex edit the last portion in as only part of movable.sed is transferred.

this is turning into an adventure lol. Could you link the article so I know which to hexedit?


Also would I hex edit the o3ds moveable.sed or n3ds movable.sed as in which one of these would i modify and use as the install file when i go to install .sed on rxtools?

you copy with a hex editor the last section of o3ds movable.sed and overwrite the last section of movable.sed of the n3ds then inject the n3ds one into the n3ds EmuNAND. I posted a link a few posts above to 3dbrew, which has the offsets and size of the part of movable.sed you need to move.

Yes, its from 0x120, and it's size should be 0x20. That is the only part you need to copy from your old movable.sed to the new, the rest should remain unchanged.

To be noticed that
- Movable.sed should be moved along with CTRNAND:/data/. Otherwise it will always give you an initialize.
- The target 3DS you moved movable.sed there will be BANNED when you visit e-shop etc. until you wipe out that movable.sed. It is because that movable.sed is also server registered. Nintendo doesn't allow unmatched hardware to use online services.

You should probably only use the manual transfer long enough to properly back up your saves. Once you're done, use TinyFormat, and reinstall everything.

Do you know any good guides for dumping xorpads with decrypt 9 for this?
