Hmm you pro intro people are the only ones that keep bumping this thread wich causes more and more people to agree intros are unneeded

Not everyone in the world likes these intros some freaking despise them

And honestly i could care less since i actually have the full goodgba set (bought online $15 for 5 DVD's)

If they made all of them skipable from the begging it would be okay this is funny but they only did that after a certain number so think of it like this they obviously thought that they should be skipable

And if everyone did there wouldn't be tools to get rid of them

Requesting a mod close this thread I started it as a conversation but even with me not responding for 3 days it's just 1 big flame war

This wouldn't be an issue if GBA copiers were easier for people to obtain. Then people wouldn't have to download the intro version if they didn't want an intro.

Agreed Not to mention the majority of rom sites only accept the first version submitted so if its mode7 it becomes a even bigger hunt to find a undisturbed version of the rom

RHS Has none at all
DX has one but requires a serial port (a flashcard that actually uses the data port on the gba)

The older flashcard that used linkers are nearly imposable to find

Wonder why no-one puts intos on DS roms? Is it because the abililty to dump roms has become easier that if one group famous for putting in unskippable intros and another group releases one without intros, the latter would be more downloaded.

If i'm not mistaken, in the earliest stages of DS rom dumping there was a specific group that needed some specific device in order to play their specifically dumped roms, or something like that.
But then it was cracked and nobody had to put up with that crap.

These days, I think about the worst there's been is the Apollo Justice (US) dump by the release group HugeCock, they didn't modify the rom but they packaged a pornographic image.

good old days, some shitty games where just awesome releases cause the got one hell of an intro.

In the old days, Intro's where just normal for any release, it made the scene, groups trying to put out the best intro on a release, pushing themselfs to get the best out of the hardware, but then came the GBA scene, and GBA flashcards became main streamer then other copiers, Along with the GBA popularity came also the new generation noobs who never experienced the C64/Amiga/Atari/PC scene, Never heard of intro's and just wanted free games without rubbish, So the start flaming and bashing about how intro's spoiled there pirated game. more new generation noobs gather around them and start more flaming/bashing forums/irc channels, groups get pissed and quit the scene, some try again but get slapped in the face by the same noobs and so less groups are left.

In the old days, groups shaped the landscape, nowadays, pirate nooby kidds shape the scene, deciding what groups can be accepted and what groups will be killed.
NO Repsect at all.

At least i know Oldskoolers among us, we all respected groups, even the worsed ones could bring great work among the intro's and deserved respect for that

Ok, and now i'm talking not to ALL new generation noobs, some of them are ok, some of them are mainstream, some of them deserve a kick in there ass and rehab!

So in other words, if you feel i'm talking to you when i write new generation noobs, then you know i'm talking to you!

Just respect groups for what the do, even if the releases suxs so hard you wish the game never excisted! or it's the best game ever but it has an intro!, no one forces you to download and use them, you could as well go out and buy the game if you don't want an intro.

No more and no less to say about this, this topic is as useless as women with cup lesser then (European) A wearing a breastholder!

99% of the groups realized shit changes yet here remains mode7 (so unimaginative they even jack there name... from an illusionary graphic trick says a lot about them)

Mode 7 is a team of idiots that just want recognition for spending 2-3 Min's dumping a small ass game...
Do you see the psx scene doing that crap? even though the iso's take a lot longer to rip and upload?
No since they realize it's a unneeded waste of time hardly anyone will appreciate

For a little info i do buy the games i absolutely love (mainly all from ATLUS)
I use my flashcard to demo the game to see if i want to buy it from amazon, ebay, goozex (who the hell cant afford $5 - $17?)

The point is principles...

Just because you can add something doesn't mean you should...
and if you want chiptunes download the crap

And emulator vs flashcard is 100% different Emulator you can use space to speed past the crap but on a flash card your forced to watch every thing...

They spend their money on the game, on the hardware required to dump it, their time to dump it, their time to package it, and their time to release it through the proper channels. They ask nothing from you, other than that you sit through a 3 second intro when you boot the game (god forbid).

Principles? Have you done anything for the scene? Who are you to say what's against "principles". You're just a whiny little brat that is pouting because people who do work for free to put pirated materials right in your little hands put their name on their work.

People like you sicken me.

That is so true.
Release groups waste their time and money to please you...and you complain about intros?

3 second intros compared to the 30+ minutes required to get the game available for you - with no cost on your end?

What's wrong with the world today?

You know that whiny complaint only goes so far before your considered whining your self?

And 3 second intros? wtf kind of time altering substance are you smoking? all the ones i seen were easily 60 Seconds +

And if you may recall i asked a mod to close this thread 2 pages ago yet you "scene" people constantly whine and bring this back up to the top Hypocritical if you ask me so take your own advice and STOP POSTING

Except my "whining" actually is backed up by principle.

Then you apparently haven't realized that hitting the "A" button will skip through a majority of the intro.

Please explain to me how this is hypocritical at all.

Go on.

I'm waiting.
