Looking for some of the more demanding and/or technically impressive NDS games. Already have a couple on my list, but I'd love to know more than that. Here are the ones I know of and why:

1. The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road has the most advanced graphics I've ever seen on an NDS game, and it's even still slightly challenging to emulate unless you have a decently powerful system (even my Steam Deck is not without occasional stuttering when trying to play it). Which makes it likely THE most demanding game on the system, as I have yet to find any other games that are as challenging to emulate
2. Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times does this thing where the screens very subtly flicker the rendering back and forth between the two screens, so the game can run at 60FPS. It's not possible to notice on real hardware, only through emulation.

I just know there are more, maybe Animal Crossing does the same thing as Magician's Quest, not 100% sure as I'm not the most tech savvy and often would not notice this kind of stuff on my own. But I still find it fascinating.

The Wizard of Oz occasional stutters, may be poor optimization.
.
Most demanding/technically impressive NDS games I feel TOP 10:
(pokemon&any nintendo game&2D game not counted)
(I didn't play much of DS game)
1.COP The Recruit: Most technical i think.
2.Tales of Innocence: I think the best 3D model.
3.IL-2 Sturmovik: Very big 3D map.
4.Need for Speed ProStreet: Real physical engine.
5.Soma Bringer
6.DQ9 (poor optimization)
7.GTA Chinatown Wars
8.Flower,Sun,and Rain (PS2 port)
9.Okamiden
10.Dementium
.
There are so many DS games out there that there is always something new and interesting to discover.

Definitely Pokémon Black/White 2.

I believe, Phantasy Star ∅ may be another one.
Maybe, a heavy 2D game like Metal Slug 7 or Megaman ZX Advent, Commando: Steel Disaster comes to mind too.
On the same track, Megaman Starforce 3 had heavy 3D battles.
Need for Speed Undercover
has a great open world, and Nitro can get heavy with the stamps mechanic.
Dragon Ball Origins 1/2 might be another.

Can't remember more right now.

It doesn't happen on real hardware, just emulation. Even on a Steam Deck, where no DS game I've played has problems except for this one, and only occasionally. So yeah, it's too powerful lol

Solotorobo and Spectrobes?

probably not so much spectrobes but solotarobo runs at 60 while also being a 3D game
with animated scenes, FMV's and is a very lengthy game with a fun new game +
Absolutely Solatorobo,
I will say, it is the only game I have seen on the system that actually lags on the original DS (It doesn't lag or DSi or 3DS due to increased CPU and ram, most likely)
Actually, now that I remember, Plants VS Zombies also lags the game to the point where the game can crash even on 3DS
But I think that that is more of a testament to just how impressive Solatorobo really is. It has so many different areas to explore, all completely 3D, and it only lags on the earliest models of systems.
Not to mention that it is just a fantastic game in general (my personal favorite game of all time)

I can't really think of any others that are that impressive looking compared to Solatorobo.
Like, Hotel Dusk and Last Window do have 3D environments to walk around in...But Solatorobo runs laps around that.
Maybe Super Mario 64 DS, but it definitely does not look at good as Solatorobo.

* Metroid Prime Hunters
* Kingdom Hearts 358\2 Days
* Phantasy Star Zero

On top of my head.
The Tony Hawk Games were impressive for their CelShading I guess

NanoStray and NanoStray2 (But Shin'En always overdoes it)

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time is another game that lags on the DS Phat/Lite....like alot as someone who's just played it back to back on my DSi and DS Phat recently
