More info on Supercard "Evolution" OS

Here's some new infos about the DSONE new "Evolution" OS.
I just got this beta version today.
1, bcuz the space of DSONE PSRAM is not enough to store the real-time ingame menu, team supercard has to store it on the microsd card, the real-time ingame menu will be slower than DSONE. But it's ok ;]
2, had tested the multi RTS(Real-Time-Save) function, works prefectly!
3, supports .dat cheat file now.
4, had not added files manage function yet.
5, long filename works.
This is the 1st beta version, so there are still many bugs.

The 1st version GUI, will countine beautifying it.
And there will be a more beautiful default official skin.

EDIT: Godslash the Admin of the forums says that the new Evolution OS is NOT based on moonshell.

It's not base on the old OS, even not base on Moonshell
It's just a new OS, though the interface looks like the old OS. if u had looked another official skin, u wont think it's a old OS

and when team supercard think it's ok to release it, u will get it

Meh so far I'm disappointed but that might be just because its the beta. I'm not liking that they are using the old interface. At least it looks more organized and less crammed.

Well it's a description made by and Admin...it's not like he's the one advertising and selling to a consumer. Searinox seems to say they based a lot of it on the old OS...however that was said based on the look and without even trying it first. One of the problems of the old OS was the speed wasn't it?

Yes a problem was speed mostly when there are big icons. In list mode it's pretty fast.

Other than the looks, I like the new features. Hopefully a stable release comes out soon.

Judging from pictures of the current OS from the gbatemp review(don't have a SC to see for myself), the layout looks similar but the EOS looks a lot better graphically to me. And Godslash says it would look different using another official skin...Not sure if he meant just a color change or a whole rearrangement of the menu.

Meh.. nothing really exciting. Looks like many other flashcarts out there. Not a bad thing exactly, just doesn't make it stand much out from the crowd.

Meh, the GUI isn't really what's important, aesthetically. The point of Evolution is to make the GUI more usable and add all sorts of neat features for the SCDS2. If it's faster than the old one then it will be worth the upgrade for SCDS1 users.
