ROM Hack Moonshell help please

What are the controls for working with moonshell, like, forwards, backwards, stop, pause, etc.?

I have worked out that R goes to the next track/file/whatever, L pauses it, and then start soft resets back to the main menu of my card.

But surely there's a way to fast forward and rewind, a way to skip back a track, a way to see my progress in a video/song?

Check the bottom of the screen, that's the progression bar. You can interact directly with it with the stylus to jump around in the video.
Alternative you can use the d-pad.
Up - Rewinds a bigger amount
Down - Forwards a bigger amount
left - Rewinds just a bit
Right - Forwards just a bit

If you're using the latest moonshell, then it's recommended to pause the video first. As there is known to have some lag as it uses more processing power for the video.
