    Hi,

I have just upgraded from R4 to Hyper R4i.
It works well, apart from 1 thing. When I try to boot moonshell 2 it automatically launches disk check, and that checks the FAT type fine but the read/write test doesn't work. I checked the logs, and this is what happened...

Hyper R4i is a fake/clone get a better card like an ak2i if you need dsi support. my best advice to get rid of the fragments is to reformat the card and put the stuff on again.

    Eh heh heh. Eh heh.

HyperR4i is a R4 CLONE. Clones are unreliable, don't work well, and will most likely damage your hardware.

Want to know why it don't work?
Cause the HyperR4i is a piece of shit.

    Hyper R4i isn't a r4 clone, it's a ak2i clone/fake.

Are you using the "official" hyper r4i kernel or akaio?
If akaio then use the latest ak2loader. If you use the "official" i can't help you

I don't have enought information but you can try using the file ignore16.txt (copy from /misctools/additional to /moonshl2).
About fragments you can use the windows utility for defragment or copy the files to hd, reformat the microSD and copy again the files.

did you seriously believe that thread in the AK2 section

Use the panasonic SD formatter and do a full format.

    Thanks for the quick reply's.
#1. Is it safe to defrag a micro sd?
#2. Hyper R4i ISN'T A CLONE!! Trust me, I've seen ALL the DSi cards, and hyper R4i is the err... *cough* worst... [IMG]

    Thanks again.

No, it is not safe to defrag a microSD card. Doing so will drastically reduce the lifespan of the card.

Copy all files and folders from the micro sd, to your PC.
Format the card using Panasonic's SD card formatter tool.
Copy the files back onto the micro sd.

That's all the maintenance needed to keep any micro sd card performing well.

Don't defrag a sd card put the files on your computer and defrag them there.
And anything thats called a R4 thats not the original R4 is a clone. get a better card! like a real ak2i.
