I'll be posting and updating this thread as soon as the new version of the patch comes out.

All credits goes to aumanx for this English translation.

How to apply the patch:

1. Open the game using UMDGEN.

2. Look for the file named "DATA.BIN" inside the "USRDIR" folder.

3. Right click on the file named "DATA.BIN" and choose "Apply PPF patch to selected file".

4. Now choose the file named "ppftest.ppf". (Download the file below and extract it to get this file.)

5. Click "Apply".

6. Save the patched ISO.

7. Done. Enjoy.

Alternate Method on patching the game.
(This works 100% without any problems.)

I patched mine using this method.

1. Open the untouched ISO using the program "UMDGEN".

2. Look for the file named "DATA.BIN". It is located in "PSP_GAME/USRDIR/*"

3. Extract the file named "DATA.BIN" by highlighting it and then click right mouse button and choose "Extract Selected...".

4. Open the program named "ppf-o-matic3.exe".

5. On the "ISO File", click the diskette icon and choose the extracted "DATA.BIN" from your untouched ISO.

6. On the "Patch", click the diskette icon and choose the English translation patch.
(Latest patch included in the pack above.)

7. Now click apply and then close the program when done.

8. Open again the untouched ISO using the program "WQSG_UMD_R31".

9. Go to the folder named "USRDIR". It is located in "PSP_GAME/USRDIR/"

10. Drag and drop the patched "DATA.BIN" inside that folder overwriting the old one.
(Don't forget to have another copy of your untouched ISO because this process will overwrite the original "DATA.BIN" file after dragging that file.)

11. Wait for it to finish.
(It will not respond for a while not until the copying is done.)

12. Done. Play the game.

Easy patcher
(This is for those who are having trouble patching the game manually.)

1. Download the patcher below.

2. Extract the file and open the file named "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd English Patcher.exe" inside the "M.H.P.3rd.English.Patcher" folder.

3. Click "1) Check MD5" on the patcher and choose the untouched ISO of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd game.
(It will check whether the ISO is still untouched or not.)

4. After the check is done, click "2) Apply Ripkit". Name the patched ISO to whatever you want and then save it. (Just don't choose you're untouched ISO or it will overwrite it.)

5. Done. Enjoy this great game.

There is a new version out but what i have been hearing its even more bugged. So i wont post it up the old version is up.

this new patch (v0.1f) freezes when
- checking ur character stats screen
- also @ the lady who is selling the cats, game freezes
- & also in ur house while checking ur equipment box
- also when choosing a quest in the guild hall

Before adding the english Patch make sure you have a backup of the untouched ISO.

TeamHGG's english patch looks almost complete. I guess we should wait another week for there's to come out.

I don't think it's been announced, but if it isn't out in late 2011, it'll probably never be out.

And the last question, any savedata issues? I remember one game where patching the game also changed how the savedata comes out and if you patched the game with something else, the savedata became useless and you had to restart the game again.
