Homebrew Monster hunter generations crashing cfw bootstrap

Hey guys, would like to ask for your help since I really want to play this game. I am 72 hours in, then this error came. The top screen hangs and the bottom screen show this error:

An error has occurred (ErrDisp)

Error type: generic

I've tried buying a new sd card since I thought that was the issue. No juice however.

Try using a legacy build of Luma https://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/

When you say legacy I assume you mean one that is labeled 'Legacy'. If I do use one of the legacy builds will Godmode9 still work?

Yep, all it does is remove Rosalina functionality (which seems to be the cause of nearly all issues in 8.1). And it also includes latest commits so some bugs present in the release version will be fixed.

BTW, B9S has no effect on any game functionality. All the current game crashes are related to Rosalina.
I can confirm this since
1: They are all ARM11 related
2: They don't happen on neither ReiNAND nor the Private CFW I use.

My friend has just started having this problem too. I am looking at https://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/ but I can't find any builds labeled "Legacy" anymore. I tried rolling him back to 7.x (before Rosalina) but it wouldn't even boot. Which build can we use to avoid this crash?

What version of Luma do you have? Hold Select on boot.

• If you have 7.0.5 or less follow https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s
• If you have 7.1 follow https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s
• If you have 8.0-8.1.1 just update your boot.firm https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases
• If you have 9.0 then there's a problem, figure out steps that reliably reproduce your problem and write it out in an eloquent and concise way, and report the issue at https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/issues

I'm not sure sorry Do you have any spare SD cards? If you do, test one with H2testw and if it is fine, then try installing just that game on it, and see if you get the same issue (to rule out an SD card problem). If you get the same issue again then try posting on the official Luma thread or making an issue on the github.
