There be truth in this. I got my copy to work now. Just use the settings to get 002 errors off (just in case) and put the console language on JP, leave the other settings ALONE.

I first installed CIOSCORP included with SoftMiiv2.1.1. CIOSCORP includes CIOSBUGFIX55.

Then launched Monster Hunter with Softchip r90 set to IOS55.

Of course, you also need a classic controller. Enjoy!

Good chance you won't be able to go online. I wasn't able to. Basically the patching process stops at 93% and gives an error code, taking you back to the main menu.

So we basically just can't go online? Isn't there any way to fake region? To say "hey, my Wii's japanese, let me in!"? Because I think the reason why we can't play online is that our Wiis are not jp.
Is there any way to change its region code or something then?

this game no friend codes?

No friendcodes. The game runs through capcoms private servers in japan and china, thus the cost of online.

Just guessing, but your internet IP will identify you as being in America, not Japan.

I thought about me not being in Japan, but some people on GameFaq are playing this game online right now! They just have a JP Wii, that's all. So I don't think creating a proxy on my computer will change anything >
