Check this list to see if you've completed the necessary quests to get the urgent quest. You have to complete all quests which have the Key Quest pic standing at the left, the rest don't count towards unlocking the urgent quest.
Ah. Thank you very much!

Wyvern Conservation quest is very good for making some pretty quick cash, just try to make sure you eat and get Felyne Lander before the quest (from the Felyne foods e.t.c.) with Felyne Lander you can jump off the edge and land without breaking your egg like you would normally do.
With a team of 4 people can complete this quest very quickly with 1 of the 4 people slaying Jaggi quickly with a decent weapon while the othr 3 deliver eggs

Ugh. I'm getting tired of being killed by barroth... I can't advance online or off until I kill it.

What armour and weapon are you currently using against Barroth?

I beat it with full Jaggi armour and Bone Bludgeon+

You may also want to try using flash bombs, when Barroth turns to face (or as he's turning to face you) throw a flash bomb, time it right you'll hit him right in the face then it's time for you to run up and lay into either his head (if it's low enough) or his legs once your out of flash bombs (you can carry 5) beat him down until he leaves to go into the next area, ofllow him in (after like 3-4 seconds) the second your in if Barroth is infront of you and quite far away run forward a littl eand place a pitful trap, stand so the trap is inbetween you and wait for him to come to you, the second he's in the trap lay into is head and try to knock his ridge of. after that it should be plain sailing, just learn when to dodge and when to attack.
When he goes to shake mud everywhere stand behind him under his tail but not right next to his legs and start beating down on his tail this will get you a good 3-6 hits depending on which shake he does.

If your doing this offline ALWAYS take Cha Cha with, not only does he pick items up and sometimes get extra carves from monsters (including bosses) he can heal you with dances and boost your attack while being the perfect bait fo ryou to chug a potion or sharpen your weapon.
If your doing this online pray you don't get a noob with a bowgun that spams Cluster shell's as you will most probably fail.

Traps aren't just for capturing, they work as great devices to get a good few seconds of damage time with fear of being hit or a good few seconds to heal and sharpen and don't be afraid of leaving the area to heal and sharpen either.

UnseenHero - added you to the wiki Monster Hunter Tri ID List

You can all add yourselves just stick to this format:-

{{MHTri| GBATemp name | ID | Character Name | rank=999 | keyb=yes | wiispeak=yes}}

I don't know my armour I'm not at home I'll edit it in later when I check. But I've tried bone axe+ (switch axe), plume flint (hammer), and the bone tomahawk (sword and shield).

The Bone Bludgeon+ is the most powerful weapon you can get at that stage (I think), and its very easy to make.

When ever your changing armour, always cange to a full set, that way you'll get the set skills which help out alot

O.o, ok I suggest that you get the rest of the Jaggi set and stick with that until you can beat Barroth consistantly, the set Skills from the Jaggi set will help you alot (you won't have to worry about food

and boosts your attack) while your at it add the decoration that speeds up your sharpening (every second counts).
Before you start the quest go to the Felyne Chef and have it prepare you a meal consisting of something Grain + Dairy.
You can refer to this Guide it's like half way down the page you'll find which foods are which (although it's fairly obvious).

Ok thanks giving a try offline right now, my skill tree looks quite a bit better by the way. XD

Edit: I beat it!!! (after dying twice) Thanks DarkWay!

Edit 2: Hmmm... I think gobul was easier than barroth, I was able to take it down first try.

when is the best time to play online I am HR1 atm with full chainmail set and sword and shield dont know the name of it but I upgraded it twice, tried iron sword and didnt like it too slow attacks, I have completed about 3 missions offline so far

I bought the first switch axe before my wii gives his last breath.
It was available only on the online smith, and it was a great weapon, I liked the ability to swtich axe or sword, and still be relatively fast to attack.
At least, it's better than sticking to the same weapon and need to return to town to change it.

I lose 25~30H of playtime :/
It wasn't difficult though, if I want to play again I can go back to the same state.

I leave my hunter ID on the wiki until I'm sure the Wii is unbootable.

I'm online now, (PAL/EU) so if anyone wants to add me feel free my ID's in the Wiki Monster Hunter Tri ID List
I don't mind what your HR is I'll kill anything, but if it's close to mine or abit higher even better

I need to hunt me so Rathian.

I've actually decided I hate the way Online is done in this game, I go online, start up a City, go and eat food, then take the Hunt a Rathian Quest.
Some dick comes into the room picks his own quest says he needs it and doesn't budge until the others go with him, I wish the city creater could kick asshats.
Second City just got Hi-jacked by another ignorent moron >.> how do you block asshats? I know there's the option to block people but how do you do it?

Push a on someone and pick block I believe. Or just go to your block list and add their ID.
By the way, where is the food person online? I can't find it.
