I am totally enjoying the Online component. Getting the drops needed for weapons and armor is a great way to make this game better. Please feel free to add me and we can try and go to the same gates and same server etc. I need the Baroth stuff and all I have is Jaggi armor etc. I do have the Switch Axe but need Baroth related stuff to upgrade.
Anyone want to help just PM' me.
Thanks

if you add someone to your friends list or they add you to their friends list you can warp to each other if your in a city, it doesn't matter where you are online just go to your friends list click on someone you've added (they must be online obviously) and warp to them (all you have to do then is hope there's room in the city for you)![]()

I'm currently offline going around the gathering quests mining for different ores I needeven made some armour perfect for mining and gathering (which is Leather armour
with gathering and whim decorations attached) I can go out with 5 old pickaxes and mine away without having to worry about running out of pickaxes.![]()
![]()
For those that don't know:-
Increasing the Gathering skill will increase the chance to gather more materials from one spot
Increasing the Whim skill will decrease the chance of you breaking your pickaxe or bug net
So combining Leather armour (which increase Gathering, Whim and Gather speed)
with 3 Gathering decorations and 2 Whim Decorations will in total increase your:-
Gathering - +18
Whim - +17
Gather Speed - +10
This setup allows you to gather ALOT more bugs, ore, mushrooms and herbs.
To give you an idea of how this worked out for me, I went out with 5 Old Pickaxes, mined every ore spot in Flooded Forest and only 2 of my 5 Old Pickaxes broke, with that I gather over 20 total various ores (including 7 malachite) before I headed back to camp to finish the gathering quest.![]()
Oh and the decorations you need to attach are:-
3 x Gathering Jewel
2 x Blessing Jewel
If you wanted to go all out you could add acouple more of these 2 Jewels by making a new weapon and upgrading it till it has alot of slots available (Bone Bludgeon+ has 2 slots and is very easy to make)![]()
Oh and before set out make sure you eat some food from the Felyne Chef, try to get Felyne Gatherer and Felyne Woodsman to increase productivity even further(I'd suggest eating grain + dairy, here's a list of what you can combine Felyne Chef Guide).![]()
Happy Gathering![]()

For Gathering equipment you cannot say that is bad, compared to 10 and 15 this is alot better so shush your mush.
It's designed to be cheap and effective, not all out elitist and expensive.
With this setup I've found theat I'm gaining ALOT more materials that I need and it's costing me hardly anything in the process (bug nets, pickaxes) they hardly ever break so there's no need for me to constantly buy more.
Come up with a viable reason why this is rubbish before you start complaining that it's useless.
Oh this post, the way you type, it's so wonderfully british I loved reading it!DarkWay said:Jiggah

Jiggah said:You have plenty of chances to hit Barroth. I'm not sure what you're using, but I used a hammer and was able to kill it and hammers are pretty freaking slow. Typically, you can hit him after a charge if you know what signs to look for (he has two different types of charges one far and one short), when he stays in place and does a low roar, or when he's rolling in the mud. You should take swipes then move. Attempting to go all out on it will get you killed. For the charges, roll (to your right, its left) then turn around and whack it then roll out of the way. Also, trapping it in a corner or side is a good way to keep it from moving away from you after a charge that way you can smack it on the head.
If you think he's crazy I wonder how you'll feel about Diablos.
