I have a DS lite. I want to modify the health and safety text. So, I want to modify NoFlashMe. I opened it in DS Lazy and unpacked it.

That's as far as I've gotten.

Help plz

Do you have a parallel nand/firmware writer or an equivalent setup, including you could throw one together in fairly short order? ppflash from http://www.darkfader.net/ds/ would be a start.

If you are asking those questions and do not have that kind of setup I would suggest giving up now as you will probably brick your DS before this is all said and done.

The DS firmware is a mess of different compressions, encodings and code. I know of no repacker or editor beyond those sorts of things that get bundled into the likes of crystaltile2 and emulators to allow users to change favourite colours, birthdays and the like (all the options you can normally change). However there is an open source unpacker from chishm (DLDI author among other things) http://forum.gbadev.org/viewtopic.php?t=12270 which you could probably turn into a firmware building tool easily enough.
