Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

Hello,

Just wanted to tell you that HBC 1.1.0 and d2x v8 final came out recently. It fixes all the issues with those new wiimotes.

Is it safe to use those 2 with this guide?

yes it's safe, but it would require more work on your part since this guide hasn't been updated since those things were released. You're better off using ModMii, it's been updated to support the latest HBC and d2x cIOS, not to mention it has a bunch of features this guide doesn't offer (ie. installing a custom theme)

ModMii is like... the holy bible... for WII softmodding... seriously...

for Super Smash Brothers Brawl, i have seen on other sites say the hack doesn't work with European Super Smash Brothers Brawl. is that true or what? because here it says it says it works with European version.

it was originally only written for the US version of the game. Then shortly afterwards it was ported to JAP. Then it took a fair amount of time before it got ported to PAL and KOR (by giantpune)... so basically wherever u read that it doesn't work on Euro Wii's has outdated information, the hack currently works for ALL regions.

Originally the USA/JAP versions only worked with exploits. Your other sites are out of date.

I admit i didn't use ModMii to hack my Wii, just followed the directions on hackmii.com

You probably know this already, but Nintendo has been purging the NUS servers of all the old/outdated versions of IOS and the SM. Currently, you can only download the latest files for SM4.3U/E/J/K, and nothing else.

If anyone wants these older versions of IOS/SM, they will need to search for the numerous NUS mirrors available on the web, or extract the .wads from their games using an old program called wufe.

EDIT: Nevermind. It was just a temporary issue with NUS (maybe server upgrade).

To answer pingles message, you will want to run the hackmii installer to update to the latest hbc, then run Wii Mod batch to install the latest cIOS's.

Hit up the usbloader gx thread for more information. But more or less you can install a forwarder (which will act as a shortcut on your desktop) to your home screen which will launch the program from your sd card or usb device. Alternatively, you can load up hbc and launch gx from inside each time.

Xflak, sorry to bother you I know you're busy.
I wanted to check the latest d2x9beta pack so I updated Modmii
I noticed that only 249 and 250 with all different bases are readily available for download.
I know I can go to advanced and make all the pack by changing all the slots but it would be really more practical if ModMii has the option to automatically make the d2x wad pack from 245 to 251 using the different ios bases for the final and for the beta.
