Isn't it 43mod.zip?
Also, to prevent a wii from being bricked I read that you shouldn't delete system menu preloader and bootmii.
Is this all and how do you delete them?

Re-installing the HBC
ONLY needed if HBC is not running under IOS58. (This should in reality only occur if you were on 4.2 prior to following this guide).
Run 4. HackMii Installer.
This runs the Hackmii Installer from which you should install the Homebrew Channel & Bootmii as IOS & boot2 if possible.

mine needed to be installed b4 i installed IOS236 Installer v5 MOD

my hbc was ios61 and still is after reinstall but works is that a problem???

also my installed file in priiloader that used to boot to cfg loader doesnt work now (after updating) is it because of the new priiloader ? does anyone have a new install file for cgf??
also another priiloader prob wont load to hbc it says its not installed?? yet i can go to hbc when in wii menu

If you followed the guide, it installed ioS58 for you when you ran YAWM Multimod Batch. Then when you reinstall the hbc it will install under 58. But to answer your question, no it isn't that big of a deal.

After modding the Wii will everything work normally if I take out the SD Card?

As long as you aren't using any forwarder channels that are looking for the sd card, as long as you aren't using any programs trying to access data from the sd card, and as long as you don't want to launch any channels via the hbc from the sd card, yes... lol

Ok, cool beans.
What about deleting the WAD folder? Would everything function properly if I just kept the apps folder?

Despite knowing how to do all this, I still follow the guide every time as I don't keep up to date with everything.

I recently modded my friends virgin 4.1E Wii, following the guide. Did the update to 4.2E fine, then went to run the hackmii installer from bannerbomb and it's all gone wrong.

I've tried every version of bannerbomb and they all freeze or display a ?.

Starting to wish I'd just installed bootmii and the HBC first. I see that step was recently removed from the update portion. If my experience here is anything to go by it REALLY should be left in place.

Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions how to get round this? I'm on the verge of hunting out a copy of Lego Indy, but I'd rather not if I don't have to as I am doing this as a free favour for a friend.

I've got a couple of modchips I could install to get round it, but again I'd rather not have to go to all that hassle.

Suggestions please!

Edit : Ignore me. Just realised I was going into the data management rather than the SD menu. DUH

Also, where does Priiloader get installed? I deleted it from the SD Card and the hacks are still in effect, where is it stored?

It attaches it self in the boot sequence before the system menu.

Will you be adding Wanin's Rev 21 to replace Rev 20 in the mod files?

Just curious.

Thanks...

In due time... Waiting until more is known, and the cios is proven bug free, better than 20, etc etc...

Guys.. I just bought a new black wii and I was going to mod it.

I live in the US and borrowed a friends super smash bros brawl.. can I mod it with this? I see it says for US/JAP and I only have a US console...

so your saying you dont need to install ios236???

step 1 should be done after the last step as i couldnt do step 1 until i had reinstalled hbc

okay, I've been fighting with the YAWM Multimod Batch -installer for quite a while now, it always returns
"cIOS202[57]-v5.wad error -1" for all of the wads

. I've got a virgin 4.3E Wii with bootmii as IOS only, IOS236 installs fine.

Earlier in this topic the advice was to try another SD-card (tried both SDHC and SD with a few different adapters), reformat it, download the files again... I've been trying that stuff but it just doesn't work any better. It succeeds in playing around with the wads but fails in the end. Other things seem to work from the SD-cards, so is it really just about them? Any tips on what to do, just keep on formating and borrowing SD-cards

?

Is there any way to do this step through wifi or something?

I'm also suffering somewhat from the stack dumps with the batch installer, they seem quite random.. sometimes they don't appear even though I haven't touched the .txt -file in sdcard:/wad

ive only ever followed this guide for cracking the wiis and ive never had a problem...

recently got a 4.3e over to do and i followed the guide using the idiana pwns hacjk.. it all worked fine... i installed cfg usb loader and it says

custom ios 222 could not be loaded -1

ive installed it again and it still wasnt working...
