Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

ok using the other app i got it working now im wondering can i downgrade to 4.1 from here yet ?

I did everything in the modify (minus priiloader since I used .30) and it was okay on 4.2. Then I used the two old files that were in the downgrade and I am on 4.1.

My wii went much smoother then this one but it seems to be working now. USB & everything seems okay.

Edit: BTW, the old 223 (38+37) and 222 (38) worked best with v14 & usb loader gx. Ran LRB, GH5, and BH with no problems after some config.

After i have finished, errors (1048,1053) were written at neogamma when i put a DVD - R Verbatim copy and when i downloaded two games from hbc browser ( super mario war and uno) and i tried to play them, the screen went black and "system occured" was written and the console stucked? My question is if and how i can delete the hbc , and follow your guide from the beggining?? I bought my black wii before two weeks and i don't know which firmware it had. I updated it to 4.2 online...i think that i have made all the steps wright until modify 4.2 - Making a NAND backup but after those steps i don't know if i made them correct.Please help me!!!!

you could start from the beginning of this guide. everything will just install over the other.

Choose IOS15 & press A. (Important)
whatever your step is, is not the same as what i saw.
I prefer your previous guide as it is more straight forward(early december)

Restoring the Trucha Bug
Run DOP-IOS MOD v10
Go down to select Install an IOS that accepts fakesigning.
Press B to choose no IOS reload.
Choose Downgrade IOS15.
Choose load IOS from SD.
Choose IOS15 & press A. (Important)
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.
Choose IOS36 menu. In there use these settings:

Install IOS to slot (36)
Hash check (trucha) YES
ES_Identity YES
NAND Permissions YES

Then press A on install a patched IOS36.
Everytime it says "load IOS from SD" press A.
Choose IOS36 & press A.
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.
Then Choose restore IOS15.
Press A to restore.
Everytime it says "load IOS from SD" press A.
Proceed to choose IOS36 back on the first menu.
Press A to start the stub removal process.
Press home to head back to the Homebrew Channel.

after i click downgrade to ios15, and it forces to restart and back to homebrew
and when i go in again to restore the ios36 menu, it failed.

and go to the 10S36 menu
and try to install it
i get the following error!

could not open file: sd:/IOS36-64-v3351.wad.out.wad
Error reading IOS into memory
IOS36 Installation failed

press a to exit loader

not sure if this anything to do with people having problems with the Dop-IOS mod but there is v10.1

The changes for Dop-IOS MOD v10.1 are as follows:
* Fixed a typo on the main menu causing serious confusion
* Added a bit of code to display error messages for an infinitely longer amount of time so people can easily read them

which version is in the dl package.

Yeah, TBR is still not working either. The downgrade seems to succeed (it says it does), but the patching IOS36 still fails. I up for suggestions.

Here's the instructions from the old guide. These worked for me and might help you in using the new guide.

Restoring the Trucha Bug
Run Trucha Bug Restorer
Press B to choose No IOS Reload.
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.
Go to Downgrade IOS15.
Press A to downgrade.
Everytime it says "load IOS from SD" press A.
*If you get stuck on the first Trucha bug Restorer step, restart your Wii and try again at least twice.
**If your it still freezes, try to skip the 3 TBR steps completely as there is a chance it will work!

Run Trucha Bug Restorer
Choose IOS15 & press A. (Important)
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.
Choose IOS36 menu. In there use these settings:

Install IOS to slot (36)
Hash check (trucha) YES
ES_Identity YES
NAND Permissions YES

Then press A on install patched IOS36.
Everytime it says "load IOS from SD" press A.

Run Trucha Bug Restorer
Choose IOS36 & press A.
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.

Deleting stub IOS's
Run Any Title Deleter MOD
Choose IOS36 & press A.
Go to System Titles & press A.
Select IOS222 & press A to delete.
Select IOS223 & press A to delete.
Select IOS249 & press A to delete.
Select IOS250 & press A to delete.
*If any IOS listed above is not there, check the other pages. If it's still not there, do not worry about it & move along with the guide.
** If it is not deleting, you did not patch IOS36 correctly. Go back.

Thanks mate, this is how I did it on my Wii and now I could use it for my brothers aswell. Worked like a charm!

I Have sorted my problem:

Yeah this to be my problem, I swithced to trucha bug restorer 1.1 instead of dopios and installled via nus as i had setup my wifi connection. I got caught out a few times as the guide doesn't say about the trucha step where you have to press 'A' or 'B' when entering the trucker bug prgram as THIS WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE FROM GETTING THE ERROR ABOUT 'try downgrading to ios 15 first!'). (i.e CHOOSING TO USE 'a' to load ios OR 'b' for fake signed ios - using button 'a' on the 2 last steps of trucha bug restorer WAS THE BIG CHANGING FACTOR FOR ME! So i figure that this should also maybe sort the prob witd 'install from SD option also!)

Before trying this i would ADDITIIONALLY RECOMMEND using using anytitle deleter (latest version to delete stubs like 249,250,222 etc) instead of using dop ios to do this as its a bit more confusing for a newb! (be carefull - only delete safe known stubs i.e 222.249,250,22 etc) BE CAREFULL IF YOU USE THIS!)

install cios individually after this so you can see them installed individually in front of newbs eyes!

Thanks, got this working perfectly, but I have some comments to the guide.

To: "Updating your Wii
Run WAD Manager 1.5 from The Homebrew Channel.
Scroll down the list to find & install:"

Before this appears you are prompted to choose an ios version this I left to the default one (ios36 I think), after that you need to select slot device or something; choose wii sd slot (if I remember correctly).

To: "Restoring the Trucha Bug
Run DOP-IOS MOD v10 (...)"

The instructions in the guide did not work at all. I followed this guide (http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/hacking-guide/trucha-bug-4-2) ignoring 2) and after that I did 2a, 2b and 2c.

I think that was it. I hope my comment will help people with trouble

ummm okay i am a noob two things i dont have wifi on my wii yet...and sooo i only need to download turcha bug restorer?? and use the files already given in the pack the wad files i mean.. or do i download them again through nus and all?? plus i drop the turcha bug restorer in the app folder in the sd card right??

IF you have the modify.zip then try the 'sd' install........... i only used nusinstall after realising about the 'a' or 'b' button to load the ios thing i mentioned earlier in my previous post which solved my prob......... to avoid it i need to downgrade first when i knew i had already downgraded (step 2 of trucha make sure you press ' a' not 'b' to fakesign ios!!!

i think i have conflict between wad manger and newgamma i can't install cIOS249-v14 overwrite cIOS249-v16 and i can't delete or (un)install neogamma
how can i remove my neogamma and install cIOS249-v14 by wad manager
