I installed cIOS249-v16 as it has a fix for NSMB but of course it didnt make a blind bit of difference as it still crashes every 2 mins. When I try to uninstall to go back to v14 it gives me errors...

Deleting Tickets... ERROR! (ret = -1017)

Anyone know how to remove this ?
you just run the installer for v14. it will install over v16.

Tried that, gives me error -1035 now.

yeah I used patched ios36 for the installer.

Ive went back over my steps and tried to do the patched ios36 part again, I select yes to all and load ios from sd card and get errors...

could not open file: sd:/IOS36-64-v3351.wad
could not open file: sd:/IOS36-64-v3351.wad.out.wad
Error reading IOS into memory
IOS36 installation failed.

I've baffled myself into even wondering why I went back through this guide again.

Yeah just tried that there and it all went through fine, loaded up wad manager and installed the cIOS's that I want and again it gave the error -1035.

scroll down to remove stub ios Press A to start the stub removal process.
Press home to head back to the Homebrew Channel.

Yeah done all the delete stubbs part.

I'm now running on 249 v14. What I had to do was use the files that I got from google that I used last night, went back to the modify part and started again, now all installed perfectly and from the SD card too without having to do it through Wifi. Those new files are faulty in some way and that guide is comical, there's so many steps wrong or dont make sense, especially for a noob like me.

Thanks for all your help Tom, I appreciate it.

Info copied from Complete Softmodding Guide TBR steps for dop-ios

2. Run DOP-IOS MOD. Press A to continue to the next screen. Go down once to select "Install an IOS that accepts fakesigning". Press A to continue.

2a) You will go to the TBR menu.

* Leave the option at IOS36 and press B (no IOS reload).
* In the next menu, choose Downgrade IOS15.
* It will ask where to load the IOS from, choose Download IOS from NUS.

2b) Back in the TBR menu, change the IOS to IOS15 and press A (NOT B).

* Now go in the IOS36 menu.
* Leave the top option to 36 and change all other things to yes.
* Once you did this, go to Install patched IOS and press A.
* It will again ask where to load the IOS from, so say Download IOS from NUS.

2c) Once thats done as well, go back to the TBR menu and choose IOS36 (if its not set to that).

* Press A to go to the next screen.
* This time, choose Restore IOS15.
* If it asks you where to load the IOS from, you should know what to do by now.

are you asking someone to upload/mirror illegal files?

Are there any issues with the current version of priiloader that's included with the modify part of the guide?

I ask because in the past i had issues where it would not boot the system menu no matter what settings i had and it was later found out to be issues with priiloader.

Just wondering because i mod a lot of peoples wiis for them and they all have the newer wiis that cant have bootmii as boot2 and i havent installed any brick protection for them because of the issues it caused me in the past.

How come the way Hermes cios are installed were changed?

Now its

cIOS222[38+37]-v4
cIOS223[38]-v4

Before it was

222 as 38
223 as 38 + 37

Okay, I tried reading the posts here and I have no idea how or what to fix my problem...

I have a 4.2 Wii and I am following the step correctly only to this part:
Run DOP-IOS MOD v10
Go down to select Install an IOS that accepts fakesigning.
Press B to choose no IOS reload.
Choose Downgrade IOS15.
Choose load IOS from SD.
Run Trucha Bug Restorer

I do not see where it says to run the TBR... so I am kinda stuck on this part, any suggestions?
