Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

Any help would be eprciated just spend about 4 hours trying to mod my Wii 4.2E and all went surprisingly well.. Till I had to do the last step installing wad files.. For some reason My wii does not recognise that there are wad files on my sd card or it does see the files it just says there are 0MB and when trying to install it comes up with an error message .. cant find wad file error -1 ...
I went over the guide 200 times and cant see what I have done wrong.. My sd card is formatted in ms dos Fat- 16

I have the Wadmanager in the apps folder.
Have wad folder in the root with the following files:
IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad
forwarder-UMRD.wad
cIOS250-v14.wad
IOS249-v14.wad
cIOS223[38+37]-v4.wad
cIOS202[38+60]-v4.wad
cIOS222[38]-v4.wad

it is now 1;41am and at this point I am about to brick my Wii literally... walk in to the garden grap my self a big brick and smash it through the dvd slot into the Wii... lol

double check and make sure your SD card is not locked.

OMG found it just had to press the down arrow a few times more lol,.. to get to the second page of WAD files, the one with the correct files..lol .. Pffff it works.. thanks anyway..
But now I would like to make a NAND back up if possible.. Not really sure how as I have a new wii and it only gave me the option to install Bootmii as an ISO?! also have a few more questions about priiloader as I got an error message.. The guide gave me as solution the rename an older file so you actiually installing an older version and after that installing the 0.30 version. But after trying installing the older version gave an error again.. So now I have updated all the iso and wads I am basicly ready to try and install priiloader again but any suggestions would be appreciated as I have no nand backup it would be a bit tricky if I brick I have to send it back for warranty and stuff which is irritating to say the least..

to make a nand backup, u need to access bootmii, to do that go to HMC, hit home, and hit launch bootmii. Now u can't use the wiimote to navigate the next menu (either GC controller or buttons on the wii itself; power=move, reset=select), from there u should be able to figure it out, if not, there are forums dedicated to that so just search 4 it

re preloader, what error message are u getting... there are two I know of, 1) system files are corrupted... blah blah blah, and 2) hacks.ini not found on fat... blah blah blah.

Installing the latest rev of priiloader (check out the link in my signature for it) will solve error #1 (I recommend updating either way). If you're getting error msg #2, hold reset to access priiloader, then make sure u have the right version of hacks.ini on your sd card, then go to the system menu hacks section, and enable or disable the hacks u want (even if u leave them all disabled, be sure to SAVE, otherwise u will still get error msg #2)

i deleted the stubbed IOS in IOS250, is that ok?
I re-installed 222,223,249 and 250 in IOS36, is that ok?

My Wii IS NOT bricked.

I used DOPios and it still says that the 4 IOS are still stubbed.

did u delete the stubs in 222,224 and 249 before installing the cios's?

cant delete them via IOS36
then I install the 249 and 250 via wad manager without deleting them from anytitledeleter. cant install 222 and 223 in wad manger in this situation.
i noticed the IOS 250 being the OK IOS from DOPios
i deleted 222,223,249 and 250 via IOS250
I installed 222,223,249 and 250 wad via IOS36

i did something foolish, am i not?

My Wii is already hacked, this is just an optional thing to do. hacked it from another topic of simila title

Did the last week and it Worked!!!!!!!!!
Few minor issues maybe someone can help.
Call of Duty games do not work - get a blank screen or in one intro works then when you go into the game it gives a blank screen.
Also I have NTSC system and when a play a PAL game it is in Black and White - is this normal?

Black and white screen happens on a PAL game with a NTSC console when the video option isn't set right. try forcing NTSC, and which call of duty games? if its call of duty 3 select use Alt dol in your usb loader (if that's how your playing your games

)

it's trying to delete IOS 4, 10, 11, 16, 30, 50, 51, 60. IOS 222,223,249 and 250 were not in the list. are they patched?

i deleted them using IOS250 and re-installed them on IOS36

So i didnt do something foolish.

now, is it possible I can play downloaded games from the SD card if I patch IOS70? do i need to patch IOS70? from what i understand, if i want to play games from the SD, I need to patch IOS70 (4.2 menu) but it seems so risky to do since it's a system menu. (using your DOP-IOS guide)

Hey yall Its L3xii again. I know I know you guys are all probably tired of me

So here is my latest question. I have successfully installed preloader rev30 which is the newest version. What I want to be able to do is disable/bypass wii disc updates. the problem disc in question is wii sports resort and it keeps on displaying wii update. so can anyone please point me in the right direction. thank yall

wrong, this guide says hack any wii 4.2 and below... that includes 4.2 wii's that were updated via nintendo. But its ok, i forgive your ignorance (and it has nothing to do with u being S3xii... okay, maybe a little bit, lol, jks jks)

@kazooie,

make sure ur using v2 of bannerbomb (which works on 4.2 wii's), also make sure you're using the "NEW" method to access BB hack... DO NOT launch BB v2 via the data management/Channels method, instead, just click on the SD card on the bottom left corner of your main system menu screen.

That the funny thing I used the this guide to update to 4.2 it updated a few things then I was getting an errors on some of the ISOs so I restarted the wii and Now my HB channel gone but the funny thing is I can still run my USB GX 8.43 and still run games off my drive. But when I try to run banerbomber it locks up and when I check the ver of my firm ware it shows 4.2U man I could kick my self I should of stood on 4.1U

evening guys, i know i shopuld have read through this topic incase my problems already been asked but theres SO many pages...

ive followed this guide and done two wii's, now im doing a third ive followed the instructions and then gone to test it with the new super mario bros and neo gamm which worked on the first two wiis and now when i press load rom dvd it just boots back to the wii system menu. incase i had done something wrong i went through the entire process again and its stil the same. i tried the game in my wii and it loading ok so its not the game... i also tried mariop and sonic at the winter olympics and thats laoding ok, any ideas?

hay hay hay the preloader never "spit out" a hacks.in file so how am i supposed to put it in the root of the sd if i dont have one. modify.zip nor did the latest version have hacks.ini in it
