ok thanks my mistake, I thought you could only make a nand backup if you installed bootmii as boot 2
BTW there is no need to keep bootmii on the sd card as it will just keep showing everytime you switch on the wii and you only need it again if you have a problem.
With Bootmii IOS it doesn't show up every time. Keeping it on the SD is fine.
