Modern Warfare coming to Wii

I don`t know what to think about this...

Now after thinking about this project of porting CoD4:MW to Wii a little more I am a little worried, because of the release date, which is the same as Cod4:MW2. Either they are rushing it, because of that simultaneous release or they holding it back till then, but in that case it is strange, that there was no trailer with the announcement...

But I liked CoD:WaW (love the pointer

) so still very good news and hopefully I`ll get surprised!

That was my initial thought, but there was a rumour going around late last year that Treyarch were working on a Wii CoD which is why a lot of people expect MW2 to be on Wii too. I'll guess that nothing was said because they wanted to make sure it worked first. I know its Activision and all that and I know they pretty much treat the Wii like crap with their games but they do put more care into CoD titles.

I can't count how many times I've heard Wii owners bitching for a dumb down port on MW2. Well at least they'll get the first game in the series. For some reason I dont think too many people will be happy about this news. I thinks its more of a slap in the face then a gift. Opinions?

Releasing this and probably releasing MW2 for the Wii some months later may actually help as Wii users will get a good taste of the series as it was meant to be played. Wouldn't it be stupid if we got MW2 before MW?

Damn! I was just about to post this! lol, anyway, I'm VERY excited by this news, I spent COUNTLESS hours on WaW, and still do frankly. It kind of offended me when there wasn't a Modern Cod on wii, by now, I'm a little less pissed. It's coming out the same day as Mw 2, so I'm kinda torn on which one to get firs, lol.

Agreed, is there any regular FPS Wii-game that has split-screen?
Red Steel comes to mind, but that sucks so hard.
