Don’t forget that it’s NOT a jailbreak, it’s non permanent HEN (homebrew enabler). It’s not active after reboot.

Thanks, is there way to avoid getting banned? For example keeping PS offline all the time. I'm not planning to pay such a ridiculous price for game and then pay same price to play it online.

Anything released before and around 5.05 (essentially before March 8th 2018: when 5.50 came out) are playable, some slipped through the net after that date though like SF30th anniversary.

Always use update blocker, add addresses to your router for blocking, and disable update features on your console: just in case.

You can host purely offline if you read the guide and use X-Project (for web browser) or AlAzifs PEH on your PC to redirect the dns for user guide.

There are also esp projects for offline in userguide and browser: X-Project 1.5.2

Seems like modding PS4 is waste of time and effort in my case. I'm not huge PS fan so modding it for 3 games isn't truly worth it obviously... But thanks for your help

There are hundreds of (PS4, PSN, PS2, and PSP) titles you can play on the console, plus homebrew emulators and OPENGL is now here...

BTW it takes about 5-10 mins max to set up for HEN as long as you’re on 5.05.

If there is an "end of life" hack released after I have moved on to PS5, I will for sure do this. Right now, being able to watch stuff on Net/hulu and play current games is too important to me.

Emulators ain't the thing. I've a lot of consoles including hacked PS3 which allows me all that. So main point of buying and hacking PS4 was to play few PS4 exclusives including RDR2 which seems to be unplayable. Also it would be much easier if game share allows game sharing of physical copies. Then I would get it from my friend who is also playing it.

@BORTZ NOPSN = Netflix works for sure, Hulu is being worked on (if they got a dump of it... I can’t remember)

I have a Xbone I picked up broken for £30 and got fixed under warranty that I play new games like RDR2 on... not bothered by Spider-Man.

@Virdoo but when 5.05 kex came out RDR2 and Spider-Man weren’t on it, there are plenty of exclusives and game I bet you havent played yet.

Anyway, as ever it’s your choice, but my advice is to sell your 5.05-HEN-able console to someone who would like to use it rather than updating and losing another useful console.

It's slim 500gb chassis F. I'm unsure if they are shipped with old firmware or are updated. Any info about that would be good.

The more info you can get the more likely the console info will be accurate.

You mentioned wanting a tutorial and then how to avoid ban, so it sounded like you had a console. My bad.

For a hacked ps4 your going to need 2 consoles.One that can play exclusives that came out before 5.05,and one that is on the latest firmware so you can still play new releases like spiderman and rdr2.

Right now its not worth it unless you want to play exclusives like horizon zero dawn and god of war which work on 5.05.

Thanks to everybody who helped but I might buy console and not hack it, expecialy not if it comes with FW above 5.05. I'm more into Nintendo games than on PS so if I would get PS, I would get it for very few games so in the end it's just not worth of effort to hack it. Thanks everyone
