Dear all,

I am enjoying my xkey however recently I found that it is possible to hook the xkey straight on a NAS by ethernet and remove the USB hard drive that was attached on the back. (I am not talking about connecting the xbox to a NAS, I would like just the xkey tobe connected to the NAS)

Unfortunately only a few ethernet adapter chips are supported like the RTL8150, AX88772, which only allows 10/100MB. I would like to use something like the AX 88178 which is GigE to USB2 (even if with USB 2 you are limited to 450M that would still be a plus)

Any idea how to mod the kernel to add this driver/module inside?
Any other person interested?

Thank you,
Armandooooo

I believe the 360 only uses a 10/100 connection unlike the ps3, which uses a gigabyte connection. the fastest I've seen a connection go was around 4MB/s.

Maybe my post was not that clear but the point is to have the xkey connected via ethernet. I was not talking about the xbox itself. I will update my post just to be sure that everyone understands it properly.
Thank you

that I don't know. I've never used the xkey, so I assumed it was using the 360 as a connection.

No one is interested then? I am surprised as when we are in retro gaming we have many rom to manage and having them transferred all the time is kind of a pain.

When was the last time Xkey was updated, anyway? Your best bet may be to reach out to the original developer and just ask them directly (theartificer, right?). Not sure where they hang their hat nowadays.
