Hacking Modded ps3

how does one go about getting this done, and is it easier or better than a modded 360?

if you are on 3.55 or below it is a softmod and extremely easy to mod it. if you are above 3.55 then you have to own a ps3 that came with 3.55 or lower whenever you purchased it and downgrade it with a chip. so let's say you bought one from walmart that came with 3.55 on it originally and you upgraded to 4.3 or w/e. you would be able to downgrade it. if it came with something like 4.0 as the stock firmware then no you cannot do anything really right now.

so the 360 is a best bet then?
