I'll provide as many details as possible.
I modded my switch. and I dont have auto rcm turned on because i rarely let it die but in the rare times i did i acted immediately and booted in to rcm using the usual method with a jig.

But the last time it die i had it on a dead battery for a couple of months (I know since November of 2024 at the least) But after doing the usual methods it has a black screen and not being detected in rcm mode by tegrarcmgui.

Even after charging for a day straight it still wouldn't be detected. Im just wondering if its possible to permanently brick a modded console by leaving it dead for an extended period of time.

And if its possible to save it how would i do it and if not then at least i wont waste my time trying something pointless. I do have a nand backup

Draining the battery won't brick the Switch.
My kids drained the battery several times and after successfully charging it, it will just boot again.

Try replacing the battery.
Lithium batteries go bad after several years and especially when drained too much.
The Switch has some safety features that prevent it from booting if something is wrong with the battery.
