I want to give it a few more days before returning. I still didn't switch it to a new lane like you said, so i will have to do that before returning.Might want to see if you can replace the GPU.

That ended up to be Skype. Costello had the same issue and i followed the same thing he did and it fixed it. I did it twice; first time it didn't fix.Have you tried reinstalling your graphics drivers? Unlikely its the problem - the freezing for a while does sound like a hard drive thing...

Intresting, Skype has really sucked recently huh. That ended up to be Skype. Costello had the same issue and i followed the same thing he did and it fixed it. I did it twice; first time it didn't fix.
Yeah, I already prevented Skype from auto updating on my phone.Intresting, Skype has really sucked recently huh.
Skype has been driving me insane recently. Its like there's a new bug every dayIntresting, Skype has really sucked recently huh.
skype has just been garbage in general lately. If thats the only thing thats giving you problems its not related to the rest of your computer.I'm starting to not even think it's a GPU error.. Stress test is working, benchmark is good, and im not getting the black background anymore. Qnd if you didnt read my other post, the freezing is, skype. The window that flashes up is my netgear a6100 program

I would like to bump this thread because it is still somewhat relevant. In the OP, I said there is a flashing windows, but I realized that is my network adapter starting up.I usually have SketchUp, Chrome, Skype, and steam open. Sometimes, it will randomly freeze for 30 seconds up to two minutes. If I click during this time period, it won't say not responding, it will just process all my mouse clicks and keyboard inputs very quickly after it's done being froze. I haven't tried to pinpoint this down to anything, but I noticed @Costello is having an issue like this with skype. Could it be skype causing this issue?

Skype Home, ad displaying, mobile image sharing, video voicemail, etc. All this can be disabled easily. @OP, have you tried another OS temporarily to see if the problem persists? Wouldn't be very practical, but an easy way to diagnose if it's hardware or software related. Why does Skype bind to port 80? There is no reason. :-/

At least there is an option to prevent it from binding to 80 and 443.Skype Home, ad displaying, mobile image sharing, video voicemail, etc. All this can be disabled easily. @OP, have you tried another OS temporarily to see if the problem persists? I got a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD and reinstalled Windows and everything else. my boot time is much better now.
it did this on my old HDD too, but my PC will randomly freeze for about 30 seconds. I looked at this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/273987-32-windows-freezes-30second-back-normal
and it seems to be exactly the same issue I am having.
I took ncc74656's advice and this came up:
http://prntscr.com/aspqt7
I couldn't fit it all into the screenshot, but there is 1 more DNS Client Event warning, and 3 more WLAN-AutoConfig.
It seems my wireless adapter is the issue, I have a "NETGEAR AC600 Dual Band" adapter (That's what the box, says, but it says A6100 just about everywhere digital: http://prntscr.com/aspt2t )
Before I built my new PC, I never had an issue with the HDD, so i know it is not that, and it is obviously not my SSD since it happened on my hdd too. Doing this makes me think it's the network adapter. And in case you're wondering, my old HDD is not even in my PC anymore. It's in a different one.
Please help.
