Duh... even after all this time I STILL forgot to upload my Bedrock map to DSCraft ..........Oh well, I've finally done it....

I admit though - I'm curious on how people are making 'Mods' for this & yet AFAIK Smealum hasn't released the code for it ?? (a bit of reverse engineering perhaps ??)

It'll be nice if he has - maybe some1 can figure out what causes the Guru errors ('A problem shared is a problem halved' as some1 use to say ;))....

i downloaded both versions of DS Craft
i bought an acekard 2 i (haven't installed anything, don't think i need to?)
i bought a micro sd card (seems formatted for msdos)
i have tried both versions of ds craft on the micros sd and put it in the dsi 1.4.1E
and i click on Deep Labyrinth Digital Bros - and then get> Loading>System File is Missing
What am i doing wrong?

Your wrong, what your doing is like trying to boot your computer with office installed and not the Windows, so go to the akaio website, download the zip and extract everything to the sd card, btw the sd card must be formated to fat32.

i am not sure what bit to download from acekard (just imagine that i am old and stupid, doing this for my son)
1.Firmware Update of AK2i for console 3DS4.2 and DSi1.4.4
2.Download AKAIO 1.8.9 The best official All In One menu for AK2, Ak2i, Ak rpg both
3. update firmware of AK2i for DSi 1.4.1

on this acekard 2 box it says 'No need to convert and flash!' and save file as written directly to Micro SD'
i thought maybe that the AceKard came with a system built in?

anyway, which of 1,2,3 do i download?

Here's what you do:

-> Download and install: Panasonic SD formatter
-> After you installed it, format your Micro SD Card with these options: Format Type: Full (Erase), Format Size Adjustment: On.
-> Then download Akaio 1.9.0, Extract it and copy the __aio folder and akmenu4.nds to the root of your Micro SD Card.
-> Download DScraft v310811, Extract it and copy the dscraft folder and DScraft.nds to the root of your Micro SD Card.
-> Put the Micro SD Card back into your acekard and insert your acekard in the (3)DS(i)(XL).
-> Search for DScraft.nds and push 'A' to start it.
-> ???
-> Done.

followed these instructions for formatting the card in ubuntu:

formated for fat 32.
copied Akaio folder and nds
copied DScraft v310811 folder and nds to root
clicked on Deep Labyrinth Digital Bros but seems to get stuck on 'Loading'?

You need a Micro SD Card:
And you need to plug that into the Acekard itself.

yes sorry should have mentioned - i do have an sd card - thats whats formatted to fat 32.
and that is what i am putting in the acekard with the Akaio and DScraft v310811 folders and nds.

. i am going to reformat and try again

i took it back to fat16 (msdos, which i think it was already formatted to)
put everything back on (and the DScraft v310811 folder and nds file in a folder called Games)
this time started up DSi and clicked on Deep Labyrinth Digital Bros took me into Akaio (i thought it was the game!)
and from there by clicking on SD card in the top left corner saw my folder Games and in there was DsCraft nds
Which started.

wow i cant wait for the next release... when do you hope the next release is going to happen?

When i try to start up nitroFS version both of my screens freeze white and when i start up the Fat version i get guru meditation error. can you help with that @Smealum

I hope that the next release is going to happen very soon but it won't.

Which flashcard do you have?
 
its not really a flashcart but me and my lil sister use a micro sd card in a action replay dsi.

it will probably take him two to three years or less.

The fat version is now doing the same thing as the NTFS version
 
I took a break, but would still love to increase the size of my map from 512x512 to 1024x1024. Any chance Smealum? Fanks.
 
um 1st how do i download this i got a sd card and idk what these card u are all talking about .next Um I got a idea try to add  multiplayer

Sorry about that, I'll try to get it done when/if I finish the DS project I'm making for the neoflash competition.
(for those interested, the project in question is a "first person shooter maker" kind of app with an embedded level editor; I doubt I'll finish it in time but so far my tests have been promising in terms of feasibility)

You should probably move your donate button from the 15th page to the first page, you'd get a lot more as people mostly get directed to there from links.
