Note, he said 'thousands of terabytes'. Look up what a terabyte is please? You'll understand why he was kidding. And actually agreeing with me.

Smealum can you change all the blocks in the item bar to 2D, cause I think it will look a lot better!
EDIT: Imagine if there was a terabyte micro sd card! o.o

Yes, its possible:
"Requests and suggestions
[...]
Multiplayer mode support(This function will need all player have a same map, just sharing all changes of players, mobs, items, and blocks. When the server host pressed the save button, all players will run the save function at the same time.) " (http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/DScraft)

it's just a request that a user added to Wiki, anyone can add it, there's no comment from the developers saying he will do it of even saying if it's possible.

I have been playing on my map for a week, and now I am getting guru meditation errors all over the place. I've tried both versions (FAT and nitro). Any ideas? Great game btw. I don't really want to start a new map. :~(

Originally I was OK with 'the forest' map, but then started getting quite a few GURU messages... At first I thought it was because I was sticking a LOAD of torches to light my path (so that I knew where I've been to find the blocks), but even when I deleted them - was still getting GURU'd.

Eventually - I got fed up with it & backed up the MicroSD card contents, formatted it & replaced the backup onto it (one folder at a time).... Now 'the Forest' doesn't crash (much) anymore.

I'm starting to think it might be MicroSD access that's causing some of the GURU faults we get - or perhaps files get fragmented on the card for some reason

Interesting. I will give it a try. Thanks.

Update: I've reformatted to no avail. I also tried the map updater. Still getting guru errors all over the place. It makes my map virtually unplayable. :(

try defragmenting the pendrive itself, instead of formating and puting fragmented files back onto it
I thought THAT was one of the greatest 'No-No' of MicroSD cards (or 'pendrives' - as you seem to be thinking of) - You shouldn't Defrag any type of memory cards (or SSD's) IIRC.

- When Copying to/from cards to pc, the files are copied over one at a time - & if you copy over a framented file (from PC) onto a Freshly formatted MicroSD card, each file is copied over as a single 'Block' and so get's defragged along the way anyway

I'm just thinking about how 'sisyphus' formatted his card (I didn't mention what type of formatting to do in my last post)....
Did you use Windows format or the 'Panasonic Formater' to format it ??
Did you use 'Quick format' or a 'full wipe' format ??

IIRC - A 'quick format just wipes the MBR of the card to say that the card is empty, even though the original files STILL exist on the card (this is why some 'disk file recovery programs can sometime restore deleted files), whereas a a 'Full Wipe' will clear EVERYTHING from the card (making all the memory card 'bits'='0')

Defragging the microsd directly did not help. I've also tried The Homebrew Menu. The same. If the problem is too many torches, then I won't be able to get rid of them all. I have hundreds dotted around the place (in caves, in castles). Hmm. Shame really, since I love the game. May progress to the game proper (but love this form factor).

update: Panasonic formatter didn't help. I love this homebrew, but I can't stop the guru errors.

Yeah. I've tried various things. It seems to have become much more frequent since upgrading to the latest version. Maybe it's doors and ladders?

Anyway, here is the map. Perhaps it would help to find out if its a map problem?

yes, minecraft lags on my computer but it's on ds
On-topic this is a really good piece of homebrew.I haven't had any issues with it.

I know - seems like different people with same/similar cards/setups have different results for some reason.
Some have no problems while others have nothing BUT problems..

Only other suggestions I can give are:
Fresh install of DSCraft (not from a backup or anything - download it) - but I think 'sisyphus' may've already done this
Choose the default skin, if you're using a different one - but somehow I think that won't do anything.... :(
Don't know nothing about what those numbers mean in GURU errors - but I'm guessing it's all to do with Memory access problems or something

I wish Smealum is back! D:
I miss him!
It looks like Smealum has abandoned the project, because he is not replying on this forum lately, but we don't know for sure if he abandoned this project!

I doubt he has fully abandoned it...
Remember he is studying currently.
And IIRC - he has said that IF he can't maintain it, he would consider releasing the source code for anyone to carry on the project.... so don't worry
