Uh, you don't already know how to write a site?

If that's the case, you're better off letting someone else with more experience do it.

As for the game itself, I can't wait for a proper release. It looks pretty awesome.

Yes, I know how to write a basic site. What I mean is login system, and forum, and uploading (actually, its not hard, Its just the webmaster only gave me 100mb). I know where I can find out about these, and get some full source code. Plus, im 14

So I want to learn how to do this anyway.

Plus, I do know some already experienced people in real life.

Seriously. Its hard enough to code a SINGLE player game like this from the ground up. You notice most Homebrew is 2D? That is because its a LOT easier a challenge to be taken on by one guy in his spare time. Notch has as whole team working on Minecraft now. You really want Smealum to code a server program for PC and some way for multiplayer survival mode to work in the confines of DS RAM and hardware? All on his own? Really?! Get out.

.. I dl'd this when you came up with the first release, finally got around to playing it and...(see above pic)
But the screenies look awesome though.

Somehow, I got it working, but the test version seems a bit buggy on the add block side.

Again, not really helpful. :/ If you do get guru errors, try to write down the "pc" and "lr" addresses, or at least tell me how it happened. I highly doubt it was just random.

@lucasade, Bmcs : for what your trying to do, maybe the easiest thing to do would be to use a forum engine and add a portal, maybe a gallery plugin for the screenshots ? I don't know, just throwing ideas.

Just added a hand kinda thing; this way, no need to have a zoomed view of the selected block on the bottom screen !

For the one I recently got, I was deep underground, obsidian deep. I fell into a natural cavern, then I walked into the middle of a large portion of the cavern and dug a hole straight down in a 2x2 square where there was already an indent. I dug down to the obsidian, and started digging outward in one direction or another. I wasn't at the edge of the map from what I could discern, but after breaking one more block after going maybe 25 or 30 blocks forward, I got a Guru Meditation Error. I sort of raged a little and just shut it off and went back to internetz.

Yeah. I am going to use something like that. I actually want to build a forum from scratch, or at least try to.

As for the new screens...Great job!

@CannonFoddr: The version on that site is 030711, which is pretty old. It has the random guru error bug, so use with caution.

Smealum, I know this is a really tiny bugbear but at current viewpoint and angle each block looks too big. You are the same height as one block it seems, I think making it a block and a half for height would be much easier to deal with, or if we're already at block and a half height try it at 2. The world seems too big in comparison with the camera height...

He said he made the player bigger. I think he changed it after the beta2 version, so it's not reflected on the current video.

Well, me and Bmcs have only merely decided on what we are designing now. I am creating a website from scratch. I've also decided against a forum, because it would be too hard for me to moderate and up keep. But that said, there will be a map upload/download,an image/video gallery that users can add to, a small irc, and of course, a section for downloading the game.

Its only just begun development. As soon as I have a main page done, I'll post it to get better ideas (I need some

).

That's actually probably a good idea; this way you're sure to get something nice, flexible and secure. But it's your website, do as you wish.

So anyway, I've started working on getting a menu that works and plugging all the memory leaks (I got most of them, there still remains one, but I know where it is so it's not much of a problem). Not much to show so far, but I'll keep you posted.
