wouldn't the PAL version work with NTSC if you don't install the boot file in preloader? im pretty sure that's the only NTSC/PAL dependent feature of softmii... of course i haven't tried it... just want to confirm with you first...

No, it won't.
It's completely different with it's systemmenu, some settings, hacks.ini, video-region...

No, it won't.

ohh yeah you're right... i had forgot about those... well i could test it if you want... i won't be able to with game cube games though because i don't have... so count with me if that's not a problem and you accept me to test after seeing i just asked a question that looks soo noob

Hey, think your doing a great job, it be awesome if I could try the your MiiWii for Ntsc. I've been using Softmii for a while so I give you a comparison report and have gamecube disks to try it out, pm if your interested.

Doesn't matter. Your writer has to bitset it to DVD-ROM.

F**k! That's not good. SSBB and some other games needs it to run flawless.

I just dl'd and ran Mplayer_CE and DVDX seems to be working fine. So it's not a problem with cioscorp v2. I'm using the cios's from MiiWii though I'm not using anything else from it (I already like how My Wiis set up, it's pretty much the same but no crazyintro). Just thought I'd let you know.

Great work here D-Jay, it's nice to see all the people who accused this of been another SoftMii before checking it out have been proven wrong

yeah I have had no problems with emus yet at all. atari2600, nes, snes, genisis, masrtersystem, blah blah.... still havent gotten around to fi guring out what I had the preloader set to, but everything loads from gamma so no worries here.

those run on ios36? damn that sucks... so the dual layer stuff doesn't help on the cioscorpsV2 as ios36 needs to be V1 for DVDX... i have no clue on why this is, i've been testing all night last night... and i can't seem to get it to work on V2...

then i wonder why if i install v2 it doesn't want to load the dvd and even if i reinstall dvdx to ios36 it still doesn't... but on V1 it does...

you talking about loading SNES roms off of a dvd or playing a DVD movie than no i haven't tried that?
just playing the new emus that runs off of the CIOS it self seems to work fine

I seem to be unable to download the guide and the package.
I used the correct passwords and they take me to a download page.
When i click Save file to pc, it takes me back to the password page.
It happens in both firefox and IE.

Any suggestions ?

Edit: nevermind. Just wasn't patient enough.

I have never re-installed DVDX. I think I did a normal install, seeing as patcmii version is for modchiped consoles.

i am talking about both but mostly about the roms loading with newer versions of the emu's and with the CIOSCORPS V2. but strange enough each time i install CIOS36V2 it just gives me a error loading the dvd. and from the minute i install CIOS36V1 it just loads fine... (i don't think it is a wrong burn issue as it works on CIOSV1) but as far as i always noticed, gba and nes roms just never worked for me... but snes did work...

edit: just did the whole miiwii maininstall to be sure it wasn't cause of a wrong cioscorpsV2 (althought i got the whole pack from wiiblaster himself) and even now i still got the whole invalid dvd when CIOS36V2 is installed... while after install of cios36V1 it just works fine :s call me crazy but i just don't get it why he does this and i don't understand why others don't have that problem with cios36V2 :s and if indeed SSBB works on ios 36 then this is not good at all...

i've found the problem... as long as dvdx is installed to cios 249 (which is the cios itself) it works great. installing dvdx to the patchmii ios (ios254) doesn't work for loading of dvd for emu's. but i always thought playing dvd's from cios 249 wasn't working, at least it never did work for me, so i never made some time taking a look for it on new cios's. but it apears both reading video-dvd's and data dvd's in emu's work with cios 249 so people who has this problem should install dvdx to cios 249 instead of a normal install on cios 36

but this also is another proof that something is changed in cios rev8 which makes a lot of problems in some ios's...
