I have my personal N account on the console right now. Don't want to risk it.

Basically i will "fake" the selling of it.

However, the

kept me thinking... isn't a way to "hardware reset" the console? like erasing everything?
I know about the fuses in the past. Is that what you mean?

I guess something like that will require to even re-install the firmware... but for that you need access to boot loader... and if you have access to that, well, cute things happen.
Factory reset works similar to other devices like smartphones or Windows.
It wipes all user data, but keeps OS data like firmware version and system logs.

Everything except logs. To delete logs, you need to change eMMC.
So why do these logs only seem to affect some uses of public dumps? It doesn't make sense... Something is off with what is being claimed...

It's obvious but users here keep changing goal posts, it's astonishing the crap that goes around.

Ilogical and non sensical.

I believe there are LLM chatbots on this forum just spouting absolute crap. That's the only way to explain why there's so much walls of text not answering questions and not getting to the point.

Again, why is there a difference? No one can answers the question.

Kudos to the bloke that's willing to do the experiment with his switch 2. I've done it and it's ok so far. And I can prove it. No FUD, no lies, no ad hominem attacks, no chatbot text.

Are you trying to prove here that bans are a myth?
Run incomplete dumps (with two bin files) offline on your Switch 1 and Switch 2 via Mig, then do a factory reset, check the eShop in a month, and see what happens.
I am not claiming that. I am simply reporting on what I experience so far. If there is a time limit on ban waves then you could be correct. But just claiming there is, is still FUD.

Again, I am still not banned. And I am hopeful that continues.

Also hopefull other users may benefit from my reports.

On S1 I've run public dumps, used public dumps installed into emummc, connected to ninty servers through emummc, updated from them. for months. Access to eshop is available. STILL NOT BANNED.

Someone is lying about the vector they use to ban IMHO.

I could be wrong, but my confidence is growing.

not a single person has moved the goal post except you when you didn’t like an answer that you revived

We’ve all been saying the same thing..my last response even mentioned all these facts that you brought up explaining the history and that things may have changed but history shows another ban wave is going to happen

But as usually you ignored my whole post and made another childish comment. We all get it dude you know everything and the rest of us know nothing. Especially since ur question has been answered several times. You’re just not happy with the response so we must be a chatbot?

That’s clearly the point you want to make.

Plus all of this while not doing any of the testing yourself like several users here and other notable community members . I’m not even talking about myself this point

People would be taking you a bit more seriously if you had something like that to backup all of these “facts” you’re claming..

Wtf?? Your drugs are getting you mad bro... i was only talking about a public thread in this forum related with a pool to know the uodated ban status of users....
No you publicly mentioned a private invite only site!! You know damn well people watch these fucking forums and there you go running your mouth

Why won’t this work on switch 2!?

I'm still not banned. What are you disputing from what I claim?

You are a sample size of one. You are claiming that everyone on this site who has claimed to be banned is lying. Someone might take your word for it and use public dumps on Switch 2. That will probably get them banned

Plus my last reply to him answered exactly what he just said, at the very end lol

I guess bans are fake tho and we are all just one giant chat bot. Why didn’t you tell me sooner!?

Sorry bro, I'll tighten up and make sure you know you're an LLM in the future. That's my bad

Jokes aside, I think it's just a classic case of survivorship bias. I don't think the logical conclusion to this situation should be "I haven't been banned yet, therefore everyone else must be lying"

Due local legislation (GDPR et al), there might be regional differences what data is gathered and sent to Ninty - of course with the premise that Ninty is honouring legislation at all. That might skew the results of bans on using mig.

Personal data =/= system logs especially when you signed Nintendo’s TOS

It's not a bad theory, but to the extent of my knowledge this only applies to consumer privacy. No PII would have to be collected to identify a pirated game, so I'm not sure if this effects anything.

NAL though so there could be something I'm missing

There are regional differences in those, and the logged data can contain info EU considers as private unlike say USA.

Not denying the bans in any way (rather believe longtime temper with history of reliable info) just noting that there might be differences in sent data based on region.

As of today I will start conducting my own testing. All dumps are personally created using MigDumpTool (version 0.0.2). The Mig Switch is currently running the latest firmware (version 1.2.2 at the time of writing).

Regarding the use of the Mig Switch, it’s currently known that bans can occur through two main vectors:
  1. Nintendo detecting the use of the Mig Switch itself (reportedly addressed in firmware version 1.2.1), and
  2. Using public and/or mixed dumps.

My setup deviates slightly from the second vector, as I’ll be sharing my original game cartridges with another person rather than being the sole user.

I’ll try to remain as transparent as possible throughout this process. For full disclosure, I have been transferring save data between my Switch Lite (sysNAND CFW) and my Switch 2. I understand that this poses a potential ban risk, though it’s considered unlikely based on the information available so far. I’ll also report any relevant details, including which dumped games I’ve loaded onto my Switch 2, should I happen to receive a ban.

Keep in mind that Nintendo usually bans in waves, and those can happen anytime. Just because no one has been banned yet does not mean the Mig Switch is completely safe to use on the Switch 2 or any other model.

In theory that should be safe

I’ve been doing that since SXOS released and those 2 consoles have yet to be banned

Interesting! Have you played a game at the same time using explicit online connectivity, like Splatoon or Mario Kart, and maybe even Kirby and the Forgotten Land?

I did. The system used to run online at the same exact time for me for 7+ months when I was running a twitch plays channel. Fortnite and splatoon where the main multiplayer games besides, it would also frequently access the eShop and share photos when Twitter was still an included function

Than I gave to a a friend who still uses it for Pokemon with me

This is an outright lie that never happened. You sir, are full of it. The kind of thing a chatbot would do. No wonder you and others have level whatever, what difference does it make if it's rubbish responses?

You are dismissed.
