Do you hear that? That’s the megaton horn. It’s going off.

In an email to members of Xbox.com, Microsoft has promised it has announcements for this year’s main press conference that will even “top” last year’s announcement of Project Natal.

“E3 is the world’s largest gaming show,” read the email, “and the place where we make the BIG announcements about what’s coming up on Xbox. With the massive Project Natal announcement at last year’s event, you’d think we’d find it hard to top that. Well, think again.

“This year at E3 we’ve got even BIGGER announcements to share with you."

Get ready, kids. ‘Tons are about to drop big time.

Microsoft will hold two events in LA next week: its Natal-centric event on Sunday night from 7pm PST, with its main presser at 10am Monday morning.

I don't see a new console so soon and I don't see them wanting to go into the handheld arena unless either Sony or Nintendo back out.

, New Halo or a new Xbox Console
Reach is going to be the last Halo game I think. Bungie is now owned by Activision so they can't make any more Halo games (I don't think) since that belongs to Microsoft.

Not wanting to start a fanboy war here, but what makes the PS3 so "sh!tty"?

1. There will still be Halo games, Microsoft isn't going to drop that cash cow.
2. Microsoft would happily let Bungie make another Halo game if they so wished.
3. Activision don't own Bungie, they just have the rights to publish one game of theirs.

I reckon they will announce hulu, but i doubt it being the bigger announcement, because it falls low in my opinion even worse than Natal which I hate the idea of.
A portable xbox would definately top Natal for me and I would buy it for sure

All of my friends own an xbox I don't know many people who own a PS3 so maybe they'd be willing to get portables too

Here's to hoping for a portable xbox finally

Bungie is not owned by Activision, they only have a contract to publish their next IP that they will probly unveil at E3.

I speculate that they will announce 1 or more of the following:

A Portable XBOX
XBOX 360 3D gaming
A Slim XBOX 360
and or
Project Natal price set at 100$ with a pack in game - they wont make money and to microsoft they problly figure they can take a hit on the money, come on this company is in it for the long haul and windows sales alone will keep them afloat just like the gameboy did for nintendo during the N64/Gamecube years.
