Beam is supposed to be different than Twitch but I myself have yet to try it on either side. I actually never even heard of it before today. They are touting a lower stream delay than competitors. Stream delay has been a problem on Twitch, and 15 seconds of delay (on Twitch) is not unusual.
Twitch is the main player in the game streaming business and significant others are YouTube Gaming and HitBox.tv.
