This morning I was on my computer getting a game for my acekard and when I started the computer my Micro SD was working fine but a few minutes later when I decided to backup my files it didnt recognize it any more and said that it needs to be formatted. Can anybody help me please?

Um...you could try backing it up via DSFTP but that'd be really slow and you'd need the homebrew app to be already on the microsd card.

See if it works on another computer... and if it does then copy everything you need of the microsd card and then format it using SDformatter.

Try using a file recovery program before the reformat. I recommend Recuva.
It won't be able to get everything back, but some save files are better than none.

I fixed it now using Testdisk. Pretty cool how I could restore all my files that I ever had on my SD, even the ones that I had already deleted long ago.

Although this is a computer problem, it does relate to your Acekard so fair enough

Now try a different way of plugging it into your computer. Try a MicroSD to SD Adapter and plug it into your printer or even try the MicroSD USB that came with your Acekard.

I had this problem but lucky for me, I had DSFTP on it and I set up an FTP server with my DS & Computer so I was able to snag all my saves before reformatting again.

You could also try a different OS like Ubuntu to explore your SD and snag your valuable data. If you wish to do this you do not have to install Ubuntu simply select to try the OS without installing after you boot it.

If you wish to just format and attempt to snag your data afterwards, I suggest using Recuva and using a Deep Scan. It won't guarantee you'll get your data back but you can try & take the chance.

Help! I'm having the same problem, so I'm wonedring how to get around it.

Did you reformat it and then recover it?

No! Don't reformat until you have the data backed up. Use Testdisk, Recuva- whatever works for you.
Then reformat with the Panasonic SD Formatter.

Did you read his last post? He already fixed the problem.

I was talking to shoxie. I know that the OP's problem is solved.
