hello, i have a question, how to play the DLC? i though the dlc came with the patch but i don't seem have access to any. i installed the patch and it seems to work correctly except for i don't seem to have any DLC, is there a different patch than the one in the first post that was suppossed to contain the dlc?. Also, related to this, i assume the dlc in this game behaves like the dlc for previous games in the sense that i could use checkpoint to insert the data, but i'm scared to do it that way in case in could either delete my progress or that using some random extra data could mess with the patch. thank you again for the patch men, i can't thank you enough for making a easy to install patch for people like me who are kind of slow to the hacking processes

if you've obtained the DLC extdata, using it won't mess up your save file. the only thing it could do is mess up your item/gear sets. it won't mess up the patch. you should back up your save file just in case though, never hurts to have a backup.

Actually it does mess up my save, apparently the game only saves in extdata, i actually already did the experiment with checkpoint and well the game only seems to have data stored in a fila named system that contains all info

There's only one file, well two but the second one is a backup. everything is saved on a file named "system".

You could either try to copypaste your data on to a save file with the DLC on it. You need a hexadecimal editor, or maybe it's easier to compare a clean save file and one with the DLC data on it, and pass that onto your save file. Either way it would take some time to experiment.

that's bizarre, AFAIK all of the other 3DS MH games don't save to extdata.

Can you release an untouched-textures version? this one override UI textures when I use HD textures pack for Citra

Hey! Does this work if you have the physical game cartridge? I have used this with the CIA before but I would like to save space with some more physicals

sorry to bump this thread. I finally installed your version of eng patch because I found out that the DLC is embedded to the patch but can you update the patch to restore the original framerate? the monster moves to fast it looks weird on my old 3ds console. thanks

mybe asking to patch the game again is to much of an ask, so I used the default custom 30fps cheat but I cannot get it to work on my 3DS. Lum3ds cheats says "no suitable title found".

You can also get a bigger SD card. Last I've heard, 128 was the biggest you could get without any issues; but that's plenty big enough for everything you'd ever want, assuming you're willing to occasionally delete a game.
Do note: Deleting games does delete the save data alongside it. That said, you can use Checkpoint so it's a non-issue.

I'd love to hear your experience, I tried myself and did not work.

I used a Switch save file with the DLC downloaded, I edited my own character save slot on it, I converted and size-corrected the save file for 3DS, and while it seemingly works fine (my character shows up, my stuff is there, my cats are fine) the moment you check the event quests it gets a code dump.

If someone else can chime in and add any info it would be great. Specifically, how one would find de DLC data and copy it on a 3DS file instead of having to use a converted switch file.
I have exactly the same problem mentioned about opening the event quests causes a code. Did you manage to find any solution to that ? I had played MHGU on switch a bit before getting a 3ds and transferring my save file to 3ds using the save editor, I had everything but the moment I open the event quest list it crashes..

If you managed to find any alternative It would be much appreciated.:D

Fixed Hunters for Hire Success and Too Bad texts.

Note: For Citra you can choose either of the two.

I've set the default fps to 60. If youre using Citra on android then I recommend you to use the 30 fps cheat code

[Default Custom 30 FPS v1.4.0]
0088E584 EDD61A0C
60D3A040 00000000
B0D3A040 00000000
006A34A0 41F00000
D2000000 00000000

Question:
What's the difference between the two?

Answer:
No Crossplay means you can connect with the original MHXX Japan Server in Online Multiplayer.

Crossplay means you can connect with Nintendo Switch MHGU Server in Online Multiplayer however with some limitations:
  1. Can't use Japanese Exclusive DLC Armor
  2. Your console will crash if someone on MHGU posted Event Quest in the room. (Just reboot and it will be ok again)
Question: Can I install this even if I already have installed another patch.
Answer: Yes, this will overwrite any existing patch

***The UI textures filename changed with my english patch. use this instead of the one that is publicly shared
