I just installed mGBA but I can't play because every time I start a game mgba freezes on the black loading screen. I previously installed the gpsp retroarch code(even if I'm not sure what to do with) and put the gba_bios in retroarch/core/system folder. Is there something I forgot to do?

mgba doesn't need a bios to run, so I wouldn't worry about that for the moment. I've never run into this so no idea. Assuming if you have luma that you installed the CIA version with FBI.

Yes I have luma, even if I modified my console a long time ago ( maybe two years ago) and I never updated it, while I installed the last version of mgba. Could be this the problem? (to be fair for gba games i use an injector, but it can't make work the RTC for some games, so for now i must fix this problem with mgba)

What version of Luma3DS are you using? Does A9LH (arm9loaderhax) ring any bells?

In case you are *an old time homebrewer, welcome back. You gots lot to catch up on:

Yeah I would look into updating, latest Luma can run on the latest system update. Never ran CFW that old so I don't know if that is causing the conflict.

Thank you for your help. I followed and completed the guide, and now my version of Luma (i guess) is 9.0. As regards mgba, now it works, even if in a so much horrible way ( it's very slow, the game lags a lot, and sound is distorted) that i can't use it. Is there something I should/must do?

Are you using NSUI and enable the rtc option?

No,I use another type of Injector, which works fine. However the RTC doesn't work for that games which RTC is not naturally implemented in the native rom ( for example, some pokemon fire red hacks). Does NSUI works for this type of rom? ( I'm asking because right now I can't try by myself)

I haven't had any problems with rom hacks.

I tried with NSUI and it still doesn't work(at least, for pokemon adventures red chapter)

Is the game you're trying to play called Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Red Rescue Team, the european version?

What isn't working? Is the game not saving correctly? Try using a different ROM save type.

Are you having trouble creating and exporting the game as a .cia file?
