Well I liked metroid prime so I figured this has got be interesting at least. And obviously retail is the way to go if a butter knife hadn't been shoved in the disc drive... I external hard drive my games typically I have all sorts of loaders. I also have a cyclowiz in the wii I will try all the suggestions here hopefully it will work . It just sucks that to test if it works is watch a cut scene for 12 minutes then find out.
Obviously retail is the way to go? Are you lost? This aint the official nintendo forums dude, FUCK retail, lol.

That retail comment was just a response to someone above. I think I am going to download a new ISO and try it out again with these new suggestions.

Worked fine for me near its launch.
Don't remember my setup, but it was something common that most Wii users use to run backups.
Didn't have to jump through any hoops, skip anything, or download anything special to get it to work.

I had to dump it with Hermes Cios from CFG loader in order to make ik work.
I bought it at a budget price ( it was the first time I ever saw a Ninty game an budget, lol )

(As a note: This game did'nt deserve the metroid franchise name IMHO.
It lacks certain quality and originality previous Metroid games have.
Also it's FULL of bugs, and very repetitive gameplay wise.
Plus the story is VERY lame and predictable.
Cutscenes and movies are very well done though...but that's no gameplay + they are not skippable.
If you finish the game, you can watch the whole experience in theater mode as a movie, so you don't have to play through the game all over again. Wich is a plus.No replay value.
BUT you should play it once...just to long for a better metroid next time.)

Never heard of this issue, my dump plays fine on Hermes 222
