I'm about to buy a r4ds and i'm wondering it worths buying a memory card or DO you need one?

That pack seems to come with just the R4.

You will NEED a Micro SD card to play games. The R4 supports up to 2GB cards.

Judging by your question, I can safely assume you're new to this.

The R4 is not the cart you want. Its the most well known, but its past its time. Other carts are getting new features and GUI updates while the R4 remains stuck in 5th or 6th place as far as "good" MicroSD-based flashcarts go.

No, you'll still need to purchase a MicroSD card separately.

A bit expensive for a MicroSD (you can get a 2GB here for 15USD). It'll work fine though if you don't mind paying a bit more.

If you mean limit to the size of the MicroSDHC card, no. It supports the largest MicroSDHC cards available.

Best Buy tends to be a bit expensive. Try smaller stores. Or get them online for like cheap.

For microSD cards, I recommend purchasing more of smaller capacity chips rather than buying one expensive chip. That way you have more capacity for a lower price. How many games are you possibly gonna play at a time? The only time I would buy anything 2GB+ is if it's on sale.

Actually, the bigger ones tend to be cheap compared to the smaller ones. Like for example, 1 GB may be like 20 bucks and 2 GB is like just 30. For just like $10 more, you can have another GB, where if you bought two 1 GB's, it'd be 40. That's what I see at stores anyways.
