I joined the temp around during the wait for Gateway Ultra, but I was one of the people who bought it at launch. I remember detailed discussions about how it was impossible for a custom firmware to be achieved within the console's lifetime, how the system was simply too locked down for any real hacking opportunities outside of flashcards. I heard similar discussions about the PS3 and the Vita. Hell, we even have a DSi cfw now.

It should be a rule of the internet. Never, ever underestimate the abilities of hackers.

It's not so much what it is, man, it's the promise of the future. If I'm correct, (this is assuming tickets work the same as they did before) it'll mean Nintendo can't see we're using pir- uh, legal backups instead of copies directly from the E-Shop.

Also .nsp is the CIA of switch, simply put. Good news is that nsp files are just nca + cmnt + tik + cert packed in a pfs0.. real simple
