I was wondering about the poll:

Most of the members have been here for roughly a year. Generally speaking of course, the time at DS Piracy began, and GBAtemp began posting reviews on the Supercard and so.

My guess is that there are recently many new members because of the newly released R4? This place seems to be one of the first to have reviewed it.


How did you find GBAtemp.net?
Were you here before DS Piracy? Or did you find this place as a way to get that information?

I found it when looking for a review on the Supercard SD, when i began to get into the backup scene

I came looking for gba roms. When I figured out that there weren't any I just hung around to find out when new games were dumped, and to read people's opinions on the game in the release threads. Then I eventually registered and started posting my own opinions.

Although I tend to disappear for months at a time while something else has my attention (World of Warcraft, other PC games, console games, etc).

Interestingly enough I came here for the testing area when it used to be the hot spot for all of us photoshop heads. Ah, good times, good times. I must have at least 500 uncounted posts in there...

Initially, me got tha ds and thot the wee thing would just played games but then when someone told me boot this place i sussed oot how the machine could do so much more.

It's just like puttin money in the bank, i reckon. Ya winna just want it sit in there doin just savin heaps of money cos eventually bastard government would come take as much as could. So wot would any normal brained person do wit their money? Ya would get a financial advisor and say him, "go aheed, take me dosh and invest so money can grow and maybe could get rich eh?" Man i was here for all the GBA stuff and such. It was, and still is a great place for releases. I just dont post enough lol.
So many people that outpost me like woah!!!

As i sit here thinking back where the hell did tempest go!!!!! Anyone know?

I think it has, at all times, been the case that the majority of active posters joined in the last 6 month. After that time most of them seem to lose intrest or at least post less.

btw that poll was kind of flawed. The option for the mentioned majority was missing, something like "joined last year". I also believe many of those who voted >5 years did their math wrong. If you joined for the roms in 02, thats just >4 years
