I don't see why ds should be compressed 7z or zip because they are small files just like the other classic roms if its over 100 mb then i think it would be good idea to compression it

Yeah, I know that and nothing to do with over 100 mb. Some people prefer small files in zip or 7z for their own satisfactory. That's why I said it is up to the developer. :)

Or to the console's capacities. Maybe DS ain't fast enough to fullfil the task you are adding.

Hi, I'm using SX OS 3.1 and melonDS won't start (just black screen and when I press the Home button screen goes white).

I go in "Album" then "Homebrew" then melonDS. I've seen somewhere that I have to disable fast Memory, how to do so ?

Thanks for helping

You have to use Atmosphere and title redirection, meaning launching HBL by pressing R when launching a game.
Running from Album doesn't give homebrew enough access to certain things from the Switch, which is why it might be crashing.

Is there a way to remap the controllers or controller type from joycon to say a game sir controller, I want to use the gamesir X2 and run D's sideways so that it's like a real Ds any thoughts?

I don't really see what the problem is. My wireless Switch controller works just fine.

EDIT: also use the global rotation option, not the rotation option grouped under screens.

I don't know, just want to turn it sideways and have a screen on top and bottom but when I plug the controller into the switch it doesn't connect so just wanted some options for controllers that's all

Edit: just like the picture I put on

make sure the controller is the first in the controller order..

MissionControl (https://github.com/ndeadly/MissionControl) only works on Horizon, what you're saying doesn't really make sense to me.
well if you dont know what lakka is then im in the wrong place, also i had mission control on hekate but yet again it doesn't work for controllers being plugged into the usb-c slot on bottom of switch it only seems to work for the lakka version of melonds (lakka=retroarch type emulator)

edit: also i will mention my controller doesnt have bluetooth and mission control deals with bluetooth i guess

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Like this is by far the best Ds emulator on the switch I was just wondering on controller configs that's all, obviously I can still use it and play it no problem it's more of a personal preference is all seriously awesome work none the less

Oh there's a different sysmodule that deals with USB controllers, I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head

For future reference, Mission Control does only work in Horizon, and the fact your controller is recognised by Lakka has nothing to do with Mission Control.

Anyway if you can't get this specific controller working for what you want, an alternative that works would be to buy a Flip Grip, which allows you to attach Joy-Cons to the Switch in vertical/landscape rotation, and they work normally via Bluetooth with MelonDS and whatever else.

Yeah I'm waiting for them to restock
