I'm surprised that this wasn't posted yet.. anyway.. MEGAMAN 9 IS BEING RELEASED NEXT WEEK IN NORTH AMERICA!!!

    Release dates:
    WiiWare - September 22nd
    PSN - September 25th
    XBox Live - October 1st

IGN already has a review up: http://wii.ign.com/articles/911/911715p1.html
They gave it 8.6 overall (and a 3.0 to the graphics for some reason [IMG])

Ugh, classic MegaMan... I overplayed the classics, doubt I will be playing this one... especially with the Xbox360's TERRIBLE D-Pad.

This'll give me a reason to plug my wii back in(and clear the dust off it).

Can't wait, although I suck so much at megaman games(cept battle network).

Great, once it's out perhapse someone could port it into an actual NES rom.

It's possible that someone hacks an old megaman NES rom to make the levels look like MM9.. but the game itself is impossible.. I've heard that it's a lot bigger than a NES game and has some stuff that the NES couldn't do..

Well, if you rip the sprites out or redraw them onto an older Megaman NES rom then go nuts hacking the game to fit in all the new bits.
    Then, maybe.
    Still, a ton of work.
Though if someone did that I'd hope for the MM7 and MM8 (maybe Rockman and Forte too?) to be NES ported too. Course its more of a rewrite than a port. Still, would be sweet.

Edit: Bah, Cockroachman beat me to the punch [IMG]
Though I must say that the NES could still do a few of those things. But they would take a master coder to implement them. Or atleast one or more insane coding Megaman fans.

Still, though, what would be the port in porting nine?
We are all gonna play it on the Wii anyway.
Might as well play it the Wiiware way. Wouldnt be alot of differnce really xD
    Cept maybe that flicker option.

W00T Megaman 9 tomorrow! I can't wait. I was surprised this game was getting DLC, especially with Protoman being the first one.

actually, its REALLY possible, megaman 9 is designed to feel like megaman 2, so just replace the bosses, tilesets/levels, and then mabye add some like c++ or whatever to change what bosses do to attack. And of course move the enemys to the correct spots.
But sadly all the DLC wouldnt be able to come into the rom unless someone updates it every time.
