hey guys i'm excited for the new medarot ds (medabot) but sadly there's no confirmation of any us (english) release.(to my knowledge that is) just wanted to know if there's a team out there working on a translation or will they actually release an english version. thanks

Wait what? There is a new medabots game that hasn't been released yet, but you think there might be a possibility of a translation team already working on it in the homebrew/pirating community who don't get to see the game until the day of prerelease at best? For that I have no way of answering you except that the only translation team that would even have a chance of translating the game before it's released is going to be the people from Nintendo, in which case that would be the English release. Supposing there is no English release, you would have a better chance of just hanging around the homebrew community around the release date and wait for the inevitable thread that will pop up after the release (supposing it is popular) about someone that want's to translate the game (and will most likely not finish).

*something about translators not being able to translate a game before it's release*
The Japanese versions came out a while ago. He's asking for an English fan translation. He believes there won't be an official English translation.
Also, your post didn't make much sense.

OP:
I don't think there's a translation of it yet. Sucks, because I want a translation too (I enjoyed the turnbased Medabot GBA games)

Ah I see xD. I took the "new medarot DS" part literally. If you follow the post as if the Jp release hadn't happened yet, it makes sense...anyways, if there isn't a thread about a translation that should have happened around the time of the release, then there probably won't be one.
