Mario Paint Composer DS: Goomba Release
Mario Paint Composer Ported to the DS!
1222631108notes.jpg
A proper port of Mario Paint has been ported to the DS by longtime member BassAceGold!
It seems to be almost exactly like the original version, and so far seems to work perfectly.

In case you're not familiar with Mario Paint Composer - it's basically a neat application where you're able to make tunes by dragging icons to your workspace. It has all the functions you'd like (sharp notes, flat notes, loop, load, and save) and you should definitely try it out if you're a fan of Korg DS and generally games in the music genre.

Developer's comment and download below. Don't forget to read the included readme inside the file in case you have questions when using it.

QUOTE(Developer's Comment) said:
Mario Paint Composer DS is an indirect remake of the music composer tool found in the Super Nintendo game “Mario Paint” with a few new adaptations which I added in from the PC version created by unFun Games (http://www.unfungames.com/). Please note, I am not responsible for the pc version, these two programs merely share the same name and that is all. This is not a direct port of any version, it is completely coded by myself.

Features: These are new features continuing from the ones already in the snes version

* -Saving and Loading of songs
* -Sharp and Flat notes
* -more lower ranged notes
* -4 new note types
* -4 notes per can be played at once rather then the 3 limit
* -Longer songs

Feel free to check out the forums for songs to download, to share your own creations, report bugs or even to drop a suggestion you would like to see in the next version.

The forum can be found here: http://nds-help.com/mpcforum/

PLEASE CHECK OUT THE README.TXT FOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND CONTROLS

I like how the word "port" is quickly tossed out twice in the first sentence when the quoted comment blatantly states that it is not a port of any kind and is "completely coded" by the creator.

D sharp/E flat is messed up. When you preview the sound, while you're dragging it onto the staff, it sounds right, but when you actually try playing your song, and it has a D sharp or an E flat, the sound is a lot lower than it should be.

Same thing here.
