sorry to be a pest but now i got the english on the moonshl2

, but.....now my games wont load up, what did i do wrong??

OK BEFORE YOU SAY BUT THEIRS YSMENU ALREADY FIXED IT BUT LOOK
I FOUND A WAY TO GET M&L BIS on R4 1.24 KERNAL. WORKING ON ORIGINAL R4'S
HERES HOW

1. GO TO r4 1.24 kernal
2.extract the files to the root of the SD card (make sure its formatted)
3.get the latest cheat files from here cheat.dat
4.ok now copy the cheat files into _system_
5. if it ask you to replace the files say yes.
6.now get the M&l BIS game.(clean)
7.put it in the sd card
8.on you r4 go to the game and pess Y select backup enabler.
9.save and exit
10.play the game

Okaaay, yea I just tried this and it works (sorta. See below) . WAAAY easier than the YSMenu way.
btw I am using an M3 DS Simply.

It is sort of hit and miss though when saving. It seems to inconsistently just never come out of the black screen that shows up after saving (or starting a new game). If you don't mind restarting your DS sometimes while playing, this will work fine. Sometimes it just works and saves and loads without issue... I haven't determined exactly what makes it work or not work at times.

Well, I played for a bit longer last night. Turns out it isn't just during a save that it might freeze. I finished the first bowser tutorial battle thing and then it froze.

So its not really a useful solution. But it is close!

I completed all the steps in the OP as listed. YSMenu.nds does the flashing white screen top-bottom-top and then locks up. Games will not load via moonshl2 - it lists them properly but when any are selected it says they're in an unsupported format. :\

I get some error code 81 when i run Bowsers inside story... but other games work fine.

reformatted my card to FAT, still the same problem i had orginally.

It didn't work. My R4 is all japanese and YSmenu-y yeah, but the rom doesn't load. Originally it loaded but froze at the new game part.

Wow, talk about a disappointment. I followed all the steps and ended up with some japanese firmware and no solution. Originally my game was stuck at the select a New Game part; and it still is.

I'm sorry I wasted 15 minutes following this guide...

To those who have YSMenu running but not M&L, do any games load, and is the M&L nds file clean or have you patched it whilst previously trying to get it to work? If nothing runs, you've messed up YSMenu. If other games run, try getting a clean version of M&L and trying again.

Hi, you say to use LanguageSelect.nds, but I do not have this :S Do you know where I can get this? And when I run the Firmware after doing everything else, it gives me an error "#16401: Error found in checking duplicate cluster". Any help would be much appreciated

Hi again. Sorry about my previous post, I posted that out of annoyance over many things. Anyway, now I've decided to actually focus XD I do everything up to the step where it says to use LanguageSelect.nds. I place the ROM onto my flashcart, open my DS and turn it on and then it crashes saying:

"A fatal disk error has occured.

A size that the directory entry shows and Actual size of the file differs

Recovery report:
Please back up all files to avoid data loss Restore files after formatting your memory

The application has halted unexpectedly"

Any ideas?

hi, i dunno if this was asked, but im using the dstt kernel v1.17a07 at my R4, the cheats wont work on startup (freeze-white screen). but if i turn off the cheat/not using any, i can play the game just fine. any ide why??

LOL...What are you bumping goofball? And a big facepalm for the "video file instead of .dat file" comment! Do a bit of research and you'll quickly work it out.
