Long story short, there are some mods that are available as Riivolution packages only, without an iso patcher version. For Riivolution patches, you have to go through Dolphin on Steam Deck to launch them, which completely breaks the controls, meanwhile the .iso would load as a separate game without any control problems.

Generally, you can't. Riivolution has DRM and to this day nobody has figured out how to turn newer versions of for example CTGP Revolution into an ISO.

Okay, but then that's a huge problem, because it's either impossible to run Riivolution patches on the steam deck or it's very convoluted with no guide available as it's such a niche issue.

What?
Riivolution has ZERO DRM. The Entire project has its source code available. The only thing that remotely resembles DRM is the fact that the Riivolution Project itself is All Rights Reserver due to the owner of the project not attaching a license.

As for the CTGP-R Argument, the only reason this is not working is because CTGP-R Doesnt even run on Riivolution at all. They use their own injector written specifically to avoid being turned into an ISO/ROM Image, Out of fear for an influx of Dolphin Users with a bunch of unauthorized Gecko Codes enabled and ruining worldwides.

Yes I just revived this abandoned account to say this.

I thought they used Riivolution, maybe they used to.
Dolphin nowadays supports Riivolution but that was not always the case. It seemed purposely made difficult to support it.
Apparently it is possible to make CTGP-R work on Dolphin nowadays but I did not have much luck with it.
You also revived a 2 year old year old thread FYI.
