You can just use NUSD and install the updates directly from an SD or USB device using wad manager, no disc required. Of course you'll have to take proper precautions if you want to keep any hacked things you may have.

nah i just bought it and didnt want to use the twilight hack and aparently its easier hacking the wii with version 4.1

Any 3.x firmware should be capable of using bannerbomb, so you shouldn't need to update at all. Just use bannerbomb, and install all of the homebrew you desire.

its australian and i thought any wii under 4.1 had to use the twilight hack soz ima noob with wii stuff

doesnt it download the latest firmware and make it into a wad file (im refering to your tutorial on updating to v4.1)
