I know, im a dumbass for buying one of those, and for not buying a new one, but since im stuck with this one, I took time to try to figure out a way to make cheat codes work on that crappy copy of a R4, and im pretty sure some more dumb users like me wonder how to make it work.
First, download the newest kernel available (http://www.r4iii.com/download.html)
Seconds, the only way I found was by using R4CCE http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=957...t=0&start=0. You will need to open both the original CHEAT.DAT file that came with the kernel, and the newest cheat list from GBAtemp users (GBAtemp unofficial cheat list) with the R4CCE (you can open both at the same time using two different window of R4CCE). Simply take a random game from the original one, change the name of the game to whatever game you want to add cheats to, change the ID to match the one of the game you are inputting codes for, delete/rename all the current cheats and their code to your desire, add some more new cheats of you feel like it.
NOTE : Adding a new game will NOT make it work, you NEED to rename one already there, or else it can corrupt the whole CHEAT.DAT file and leave you with alot of work to put it up again...
Anyways, hope this was of any help, and I could not have done this without the help of the GBAtemp community, big thanks to you guys!
