Hacking Major problem with my microSD

I turned on my DS a minute ago and it said it wasn't formatted in fat (which it was) so I then proceed to put it in my computer to format it again and its telling me it cant read it and nothing i try is working. I dont care about losing any of the files on it but how do I make it work again!? Im using a mac. please help.

If possible, try formatting it in a camera or a phone.

I have been advised to do that on the team cyclops forums but i dont have a phone or camera that uses a micro sd... wait hold that thought. i just remembered i have an adaptor...

ok so I just tried it in a camera and it said ''memory card locked'' and it wouldnt let me do anything with it. im like ready to burst into tears. what should i do?

ok there is no end to my stupidity. there is a lock on the adapter. it was locked.

ok its not locked anymore but it still says memory card error. is my SD dead?

yea the reading part of the sd gets scratched and you cant read eventually--so save a backup every time you transfer stuff
