Hacking Major Problem With Friend Codes

Today I found out that my CycloDS does not seem to support any of my Friend code enabled games. So far, I have tried animal crossing and Mario Kart. When I add a friend code and so does the other person. I cannot find their game and they cant find mine. However normal wifi play works, as I can connect and even play with people but I cant play with friends. Any ideas why?

Yes, but the friend codes worked on my R4.. or did it. Hold on, u may be right.

Nope, still not working. If I add ppl on AC, they always have the circle meaning they have not added me yet, which they have. (I think its only activated once they come anyway) But they cant find my game and they dont appear on my list. Is there anybody who can help me test this with metroid or mario kart?

its alright, Im so pissed right now though. I might never be able to use wifi again? Do these games for normaly for everyone else? Is there anything I can do at all? I gotta get this fixed.

whered you buy the cyclo?
cuz if its warranted, maybe you can send it back for a replacement
like if the cyclo is defective ( i would call broken wifi defective)

well im getting an extange anyways cuz my casing is kinda broken but I dont think its the cyclo. idk i just have a feeling its somthing else but idk what.

I've had no problems playing Advance Wars: DoR, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime: Hunters, Sonic Rush Adventure, StarFox Command, Tetris, or Zelda with friend codes on my CycloDS Evo. I tried once to use Animal Crossing (I don't play it, but my friend wanted another kind of fruit, so I quickly made a new town), and couldn't get it to connect; I read another comment implying it might be broken on the Evo, but there wasn't much information. I was about to recommend asking on the Team Cyclops forums, but I just noticed you already did. Hopefully someone else will be more helpful.

Yeah, I'm glad to hear someone else with the same problem. I also dont know for sure if there is problems with other wifi games. I did try Mario kart but It was with my other DS with an R4 so that doesnt really count.

I got friend codes on AC:WW to work fine on my CycloDS, if your rom is indeed trimmed, you should try a untrimmed rom to see if that fixes the problem.

Days of Ruin and Mario Kart DS friend codes work fine for me using FW1.3, and roms trimmed with RSAtrim.

I am currently using the auto trimmer that comes with Evotools but I think that particular ROM and few others are trimmed with the R4 trimmer.

Friend codes worked fine for me as well on my Evolution along with other WiFi features, fws 1.22 - 1.4-beta1.

Never actually got around to trying WiFi on the SCDS1 other than downloading/enabling some things and it also seemed to work on that as well...

BTW: Some trimmers are KNOWN to cause network problems. Try an untrimmed ROM, then try trimming with NDSTokyo trim which is supposed to be pretty good. I never bother trimming mine as most of them it'll only save a few meg which is not worth the bother of testing, etc.
